Please don't quote: edited for privacy. . But you can help your son to be gentle with himself as he recovers. My husband was not prepared and really beat himself up in the first year when he couldn't do what he used to be able to do. He felt like a wimp. Help your son to give himself some grace as he recovers. And again, congratulations for the great news!
