What movies are you planning on watching this Christmas?

Recommended Posts

What I've been watching since Thanksgiving:

  • The Homecoming (The Waltons' pilot)
  • Best Christmas Pageant Ever
  • Miracle on 34th St. (original)
  • White Christmas
  • Claymation Christmas
  • Santa Claus (with Dudley Moore)
  • Scrooged
  • Christmas With the Kranks
  • Home Alone
  • The Bishop's Wife (dh had never seen it before; watched it on TCM)
  • Hook (barely a Christmas movie, lol)
  • It's a Wonderful Life
  • A Christmas Carol (George C. Scott--the best)
  • Scrooge (Patrick Stewart; good, but not as good as Scott)
  • Elf (ETA...how could I forget Elf???)

Haven't watched yet:

  • A Christmas Story
  • Polar Express
  • Jack Frost

A Christmas Story

The Muppet Christmas Carol

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Miracle on 34th Street (in black and white, thank you)

It's a Wonderful Life (maybe)

The Nutcracker (probably at least two versions)

Elf

A Colbert Christmas (okay, not a movie, but still . . .)

We have several DVDs under the tree, most of which will probably get watched between Christmas and New Year: Prince Caspian, Monty Python's Life of Brian . . . and more I can't remember off the top of my head.

Oh, we've been on a Nutcracker binge. The girls like comparing the staging of the different productions
