lynn
PTA is providing breakfast the first day back for teachers. I usually pick up a couple of danish and bring juice but I'd like to make something this year. Any suggestions?
wintermom
Scones, and bring a few different jams and butter for toppings.

umsami
These pecan rolls/sticky buns are easy-peasy, and have always turned out well for me. As I usually don't have corn syrup on hand, I just use maple syrup. https://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/petite-caramel-pecan-rolls/9f53c90b-ca18-4c56-84ee-c3d167149a06 Breakfast casserole, or breakfast burritos. Yogurt, fruit, and granola for a parfait bar?
Arctic Bunny
A couple types of muffins? If there’s leftovers, they can be wrapped up and frozen for later. Fruit, fruit salad Non-alcoholic mimosas A selection of tea
Bambam
This takes a while, but kolaches are always a hit here - https://www.homesicktexan.com/2007/03/sweet-escape-kolaches.html - The dough can be used for cinnamon rolls too. We make the kolache dough but we wrap savory things into a dough ball - think bacon/eggs/cheese, brisket/hatch chili/cheese. These are a big hit here in TX. The ball end up about 3" in diameter. Probably 2 make a good breakfast.
Kassia
I know you said you want to make something, but I'd bring assorted bagels and cream cheeses/nutella/peanut butter.
AngieW in Texas
Breakfast tacos are always the most appreciated food item at my school, regardless of the time of day.
Annie G
I’d probably make something that’s not sweet or super carby. Breakfast casserole or crustless quiche in muffin tins or breakfast pizza or something. Nice that your pta is doing that!
Guest
When I have done this, I bring an egg bake and a quick bread. I always get thanks from people who want or need a non-carb choice.

It's not unusual that I don't get a chance to eat again until after the kids leave, and having a sugary breakfast means I'm going to be hungry in a few hours. 73349
A veggie frittata/crustless quiche. Teachers need the veggie love. ❤️

I saw some that were OJ with lemon sparkling water, and some with ginger ale. I was thinking more of the latter for breakfast, maybe with orange slices in the pitcher. lmrich
Just label the ingredients so those who have allergies can enjoy. I also liked when someone provided a snack mix or something I could eat a little later so I could work through lunch.
Kanin
This is so nice of you. Every time there is food at school, my coworkers and I are so thankful and excited! For breakfast, I’d say something that’s not messy. There’s nothing worse than starting the day with a stain on your clothes (been there, done that... often). Muffins, bagels with cream cheese, etc. are appreciated but not messy.
