bethben
I'm torn...the color on the left is more "taupe" and the color on the right is more brown. I have to cover up walls that are way too dark. Which one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TranquilMind
Looking at what you are covering up (which I presume is the sliver of dark in the middle), and considering your flooring, I think I would go with the choice on the left.
zoobie
Left, but only two swatches? I had twenty-bazillion. I vote get more.

aggie96
I vote the color closest to the red cabinet. The color closest to the corner looks to "white" for my taste. :)
Guest
The left. It's not quite as common as the color on the right, which I'm personally kind of burned out on. :p

Farrar
Another vote for left. However, it's hard to be sure from photos. The left also looks shinier, which makes me think it had more light and we might be seeing a truer version of the color...
luuknam
Left, but asking people irl would be better, as different monitors show colors differently.
amsunshine
The taupe color on the left appears warmer (at least on my monitor), so it gets my vote. I actually prefer colors that are deeper and warmer for dark rooms sometimes as the warmth gives the room a "glow". As others mentioned, above, you might even want to experiment with a few more color swatches.
MEmama
The one on the right. Lighter is gooood. :)
bethben
Left, but only two swatches? I had twenty-bazillion. I vote get more. I started with 4. The previous choices looked white in my opinion. I have 1700 square feet to think about. That's just the start. Another 400 sq. Feet will be a different color. The previous owners painted the whole house a gray green color. It's depressing actually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

amsunshine
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's a beautiful color, but if it's too dark/cool for you, you might want to look at some swatches in warm gold tones. Does this room only get light from the north?

Does this room only get light from the north? South. My northern exposure rooms also have the same color. We had a yellow tint in my last house and DH wants something different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ah. Well, with southern exposure, you have lots of options. I would definitely go with the taupier one on the left, as the lighter color will appear more washed out with lots of light from the south. indigomama
I like the right better. The one on the left looks grey to me. I know Grey is trendy, but it makes me feel like winter all the time, I like lighter and brighter. But, I had my entire house painted White Dove, which is very light, but I love how bright and warm it feels.
matrips
Guess I'm odd man out! I think the right looks warmer and brings out the floor and red better, and the left kind of cold and grey and not quite fitting in.
Alte Veste Academy
I like the right. It's strikes me as more cheerful. :)
