Saddlemomma
Here it is: I'm incorporating it into our studies because it gives a great overview for each decade or so of the 20th Century. There are so many documentaries out there that you could get bogged down with choosing, but I think these are pretty concise; have great first-person accounts; and the series is hosted by Peter Jennings. Each episode is about 45 minutes each. Enjoy!

fourisenough
This will be perfect for DD3 who is doing the second half of SOTW Vol. 4 in a co-op class this year! Thanks for mentioning it. We love a 45min length doco to enjoy on the couch with a blanket & popcorn on winter afternoons!

MEmama
He also wrote a book by the same name. We'll be using it as our spine when we cover this time period later this year. http://www.amazon.com/Century-Young-People-Peter-Jennings/dp/0385327080/ref=pd_sim_14_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1WDX2ASRBFTAKT2S5JMG&dpSrc=sims&dpST=_AC_UL160_SR140%2C160_

Zoo Keeper
****UPDATE: (for those who may need to know...) We've been adding these videos into SOTW 4 for my 7th grader, and it is fleshing it out nicely. Very well done videos. We're enjoying the social and historical value of words and images... BUT please be aware that these since these videos are covering WWI, WWII, and onward, you may want to preview. For example, a younger or more sensitive child may have trouble with scenes of concentration camps, etc. There are also interviews with camp survivors who (briefly) tell of their experience.
