Question for Cat Owners

Rarely. It's funny when she does it and then wakes up--you can see her expression change as she puts her now-dry tongue back in her mouth--as if it shouldn't have gotten dry because now she has to deal with it, and she's the Queen, so even her tongue should obey her...

I've had many cats over the years. Most have not but a couple did.

 

I had one that would only drink by dipping her paw in water and licking it off.  Then she would walk around shaking her now wet paw off and generally be annoyed her paw was wet.  She wasn't the sharpest tool in the box.

Some of our cats do that sometimes.  Sometimes, I catch a cat just sitting there, not asleep, with its tongue sticking out just a bit.  I could say that it's just some kind of weird cuteness, but I highly suspect they're slyly giving me the raspberry. ;)
