AmyCC
We've got a lower ceiling over the bathtub which makes for the perfect place for those fun vinyl letters that I'm seeing all over the place. Just so you can visualize it, you come into the bathroom and directly across from the door is the bathtub/shower. Above the tub we've got about a one-foot by six-foot space. So I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what I want to say! I've looked online, and I don't like any of the standard bathroom sayings. (No "put down the seatie sweetie" stuff. :0) The quote, phrase, or scripture needs to be fairly short (maybe 5-10 words?). I'd love some ideas! P.S. This is a bathroom remodel: soft yellow walls, yellow and white striped shower curtain, pottery barn looking white cabinet with black/grey counter, chrome accents... Peek a Boo
how about part of 1 Kings 18:27? At noon Elijah started to make fun of them. "Shout louder, since he is a god. Maybe he's thinking, relieving himself, or traveling! Maybe he's sleeping, and you have to wake him!" heh heh heh.....
Alenee
I don't know if you'll go for this but what about: "Create in me a clean heart O God;...." the rest is "renew a right spirit within me" Psalm 51:10. You could use just the first portion.... You know, going together with getting clean! :)

milovany
Somebody used the phrase "Gray is the new blonde" and I said I was going to put that on my bathroom wall, lol! Peek a Boo
ok, ok... here's some shorter ones. How funny/ snarky can we be? ;) ================= Constipated people don't give a crap. "Never be afraid to sit awhile and think." - Lorraine Hansberry "Everything comes gradually and at its appointed hour." - Ovid ;) "Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi "A good quote is worth a thousand words." - Jonathan King "If you can't convince them, confuse them." - Harry S Truman "Don't be afraid to be amazing." - Andy Offutt Irwin "A ship in harbor is safe. AmyCC
I looked at my space again and I think those are all too long. The font would have to be too small and it would lose some of it's "punch" IYKWIM.

Stacia
Ok, this is too long, but one of my favorite quotes, lol: If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you’ll have trouble putting on your pants! Another one that is too long: How long a minute is depends on what side of the bathroom door you’re on.

Pam "SFSOM" in TN
Well, actually Pam, It's Piss or get off the pot. Now who is the civilized one?! Oh, "piss" is *so* much more civilized, so much more King James English. As in the verse from I Kings -- "And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolk, nor of his friends.":lol::lol:

AmyCC
Okay, I think a couple of those have potential. I like the "notify your face" one. What's the "it" in "it refresheth my soul" though?

Doran
What's the "it" in "it refresheth my soul" though? I suppose that would be up to the individual. Could be a bar of Dial soap, could be that things are moving properly, could be a smiling face in the mirror, could be a cold shower! :D

autumndivona
I don't know who authored this quote, but I have a beautiful ceramic tile of it hanging in my bathroom: "And the day came when the pain of staying in a tight bud was greater than the risk it takes to bloom." It didn't hit me at first how it sounded, until friends would comment on the tile after using the bathroom. Now it is a household joke.
