ReneTL
I'm drawing a blank and my dd wants a movie that not everyone has already watched. She really enjoyed Whale Rider, Soul Surfer, Ramona and Beezus. Thanks for your ideas! :lurk5:

I talk to the trees
Dd (11) and I just watched Winter's Tail- the one about the dolphin with a prosthetic tail. It was really sweet. Dd also really enjoyed The Englishman Who Went up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain. Does she want something funny, scary, romantic, sad? Or just something out of the ordinary? Manamana
Dd10 watched "Mad Hot Ballroom" with a group of girls from church about the ballroom dancing program and competition in NEw York City public schools. The girls really enjoyed it and cheered for their favorite teams. It may not be what you had in mind but it was a winner.

Chris in VA
Our fav is Nim's Island. Added benefit is that Nim is homeschooled! But there IS a scene where a boy interacts with her (he's from a cruise ship that is "invading" their island) and it's kinda stupid, as far as her reaction. Still a wonderful, quirky movie! Would love to live on that island, if I had neighbors! lol Loved the Kit movie, another one with Abigail Breslin. I really liked those two. There's always musicals--We love Sound of Music and Oklahoma (there's the Jud scene if you want to avoid that sort of thing, but it went over dd's head until she was old enough to get it). Dd also liked That Darn Cat (the new one) but I don't care for it.

AngieW in Texas
Dragon Sword is a great movie. It was released on dvd as George and the Dragon. We like it much better than Princess Bride. We especially like that the princess is very much involved in the whole story and doesn't just sit there waiting to be rescued like Buttercup.
