amy g.
If you found a sugar scrub that you really liked, would you prefer it to be packaged in glass or plastic jars? We are having a difference of opinion. Someone thinks plastic always sends a cheap vibe, and someone else just doesn't think glass in the shower is safe. So assume both jars look the same. Both are amber, and low profile so it is easy to reach the product. Let's also assume that they cost the same for the producer and for the customer. Which one would you rather buy? nono
Can I recycle the plastic one (meaning, is it a common number like a 1 -4)? If so, that's the one I would want. Heavy glass jar/hard tile/bare feet...I see cleaning up blood in my future! ;)

Chris in VA
First thought was glass for the "nicer" vibe, but the others are right about glass/slippery/shower/barefeet-ness! In the end, tho, I'd buy glass anyway. :D
snickelfritz
Since I have knocked a jar of sugar scrub off the shelf, while in the shower (slippery hands when using that stuff!).... I would want plastic. As it was, it landed on an edge and the whole side of the plastic container just cracked.
kewb
As much as I prefer glass jars, recyclable plastic would be what I would want for something I am using in the shower.
amy g.
The plastic jars are PETE 1, if that makes a difference.
Pretty in Pink
I would only buy it if it came in glass.

simka2
Is there a shatterproof glass option?
LG Gone Wild
Glass is beautiful, plastic is sensible and probably cheaper to ship.
ktgrok
plastic. Glass in a slippery shower sounds horribly unsafe.
Joyofsixreboot
I just mix my favorite bath wash with some sugar and keep it in tupperware.
Julie in CA
Plastic. Safety trumps aesthetics in this case. :001_smile: Honestly, now that I think about it, I'd consider this from a liability perspective as well. :001_huh:
Sparkle
Plastic. If it's a cosmetic I'll be using at the sink then I prefer glass, but if it's in the shower/tub, then plastic. Glass is just too heavy and liable to break.
Tap
Is this for your soap making business? Can you offer both options? If that would be possible. Maybe one listed as for the shower and one for the bathtub 'in a decorative glass jar'.
amy g.
Yes it is. Right now I actually do have both available. I was agreeable to all glass until I broke one in the shower. I was paranoid about cleanning every speck up, but I still got glass in my foot several times after I thought it was clean. I am thinking of it from a liability standpoint. I have very good insurance, but never want to need it. I just feel bad for dd who HATES the plastic.
