ProudGrandma
My clear glasses are beginning to look HORRIBLE...cloudy....I know it must be my dishwasher soap because when I hand wash them, they look 100% better. What soap should I be using. We have hard water....I know that makes a difference too. Kathy
danybug
Funny, mine have started to look awful too. I switched from Palmolive Eco to Cascade Gel and it has definitely helped. I HATED paying the huge difference in price for the Cascade, but it seems to be better quality.
Miss Peregrine
Finish Tabs in the pre-wash and Lemi-Shine in the main wash. It is the only thing that works with our hard water. Costco has 200 Finish Tabs right now for $15.00.

linguistmama
Our dishes got horribly cloudy when Cascade changed their formula. I had to run all our dishes through with Lemishine or citric acid to get rid of the film. Now we can use Cascade with white vinegar in the extra dispenser. prairiewindmomma
Finish tabs or Costco generic dishwasher soap with jet dry..... The film is mineral buildup. I'd try adding some lemi-shine in....

kolamum
EcoStore. :) Do you need more rinse aide? If it's low it can cause this problem.
PeterPan
I had used the Finish tabs for years and been fine, went to Cascade and the glasses went cloudy. Now we're back using Finish, this time with the Quantum, and much happier. I think the cloudiness is clearing up, but I may run them with some Lemi-Shine. I took the time to clean out the grinder/disposal area on my dishwashers, and then ran them through with Lemi-Shine (empty). Now they're sparkly clean. I'm not sure why Cascade reviews so well. At least for us, it left the dishwasher covered in crud and the glasses cloudy. But we were using the lowest end powder, not their tabs. Let's just say I'm not making that mistake again, lol. ProudGrandma
I hve been using both lemi-shine and a bio-Kleen soap....before the lemi shine the inside of my dishwasher was horrible...all orange from the hard water, so the lemi shine has helped with that issue, but not my glasses...I will try finish and see what happens...thanks ladies. TCB
I use Great Value powder which I buy at Walmart. I read an article where they tested all the brands and found the Great Value to be as good, if not better, than the well known ones. My husband bought another brand one time and I could see the difference right away. We went back to the GV and didn't even finish the other.
