Joker
I think the first movie I saw in the theater was E.T. I also remember seeing Top Gun and Footloose in the theater and I don't know which one was first. They all seem to run together in my memories. (Off to look them up :D )
Chaqar
Bambi--looks like I'm not alone there! I also remember The Fox and the Hound as well as An American Tail. One of the first non-kid movies I can remember seeing is Look Who's Talking. Edited August 6, 2011 by Chaqar

DawnM
Not sure if this is the first one I saw, but the first I remember was Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I LOVED it. It is one of my all time favorites. Dawn

KidsHappen
I have faint memories of going to see The Ten Commandments with my parents and grandma at the drive-in when I was very young. I can't remember the first time I saw a movie at a theater. Edited August 7, 2011 by KidsHappen
J-rap
Doctor Doolittle with Rex Harrison. Does that show my age? :)
KungFuPanda
Superman or Star Wars . . . whichever was first that year.
Word Nerd
The first one I remember seeing was Snow White. I just looked it up, and it must have been the 1975 re-release, but I would have only been 4 or possibly even 3 so I'm not sure if that's right. I might be remembering my mom telling me at some point that the first movie I saw was Snow White.
Miss Marple
Doctor Doolittle with Rex Harrison. Does that show my age? :) That was my first as well. And I think it was probably another 5-6 years before we saw another. Yes, we're showing our age :D ETA: I didn't realize there was a newer release! I saw the old 1967 version and would have been about 4-5 years old. The big pink snail is just about all I remember of the movie, though. I really wanted to have one of my own. I just added the Rex Harrison version to my Netflix queue - the boys will get a kick out of seeing my first movie.
