Poll: Do you prefer hahaha or ahahah?

I've always seen/used haha (when expressing laughter online), but I've noticed my niece and others of the younger crowd use ahahah. Out of all the things that could bug me, this ranks pretty low, but I'm wondering how common it is.

I use LOL now. I tend to think of "ahahah" as "ahah ahah", not laughter. I used to use "hahaha" before lol, because it sounds like laughter in my mind.

The younger generation are trying to be different by doing that, I think. I'm guessing most of us learned to make a smiley emoticon as : ) (colon followed by a parenthesis), but I've noticed that several of my younger cousins make it like this (: So I suspect that's part of their way of rebelling against us old fogies :D

Actually, I really *do* prefer "bwahaha!" It implies goofiness to me.

I use LOL. Once in awhile, I will use haha. Not sure why, but sometimes it seems to fit better than LOL.

I am friends with a lot of teens on facebook, and I've never seen ahah. It looks wrong to me, so if I had seen it, I would have assumed the person got their fingers mixed up and typed it wrong.

I use them both, but in different situations. "Hahaha" is more just happy laughter, while "ahaha" is more like there's something ironic/off about the situation, or someone's getting their just deserts..It's about connotation for me. :)

ahahahah isn't phonetically correct, unless you start your laughs with the /a/ sound. I've seen it and it drives me crazy. I always think of the Count from Sesame Street when I see it.
