I like to *try* to take pictures :p
  1. I'd go for house #2. The kitchen would draw me, as it seems to you. Kids share rooms often. That's life. Though as was mentioned, school elsewhere and allow the older dd her own room if you prefer. We couldn't school in the basement. The basement is not our hub. We tried. It did not work, at all. We had a room upstairs. Made a nice sized school room. I decorated it. We were prepped ready to go. But..it didn't work. It wasn't our hub. So if the bedroom/school room works for you, great. If not, give the room to the elder girl and school in the kitchen. :) House #2 would be *my* pick and sounds like a good option for you.
  2. I don't mind the skin mashed in. My family is fine with it too. Some of the kids may prefer no skin, but they still eat it with. :)
  3. Oh please do lend me your talent or services :D
  4. Front access, definitely. I couldn't imagine frequently accessing from the side. As another poster said, anything bigger than a muffin tin and I physically could. not. do it.
  5. Lemonade or orange chicken tacos spicy pepper steak meatloaf cashew chicken or something like that
  6. We have: Sunday Thursday Monday Tuesday Saturday Monday Sunday Tuesday -me Tuesday - dh No c-sections, all came when ready.
  7. I pierced my cartilage, both times, by myself. Numbed with ice then stuck a piercing earring through it. That *pop* was pretty bad. LOL But I don't remember it really hurting. And cool on your hub and his gauges! :) My hub got smaller gauge horse shoe on one side this summer...when I got my nose pierced. I like the one earring look on him...not sure I want him to have both...though it works for my Eldest who went two weeks later to get his pierced. (14 gauge for him too..I think...14 or 16, I forget now) I still don't believe all you who say your tattoo didn't hurt. LOL But then I didn't believe those who said nose piercing didn't hurt....and it really didn't. So, I guess we'll see. Anywho....sorry your piercing still hurts. Hopefully it subsides soon and you can thoroughly enjoy it :)
  8. Yes!! I had to have some. HAD to :) I've had high heeled boots, just cheap ones, for the last 2 or 3 years. They died. I *had* to have new boots for this season. I was given a pair of cowboy boots. I like them ok, but they're not 'it'. I searched high and low for a pair of tall riding style boots that I liked and were in my limited budget. I was beginning to get discouraged. Severely discouraged! I tried on soooo many pair..and every one of them felt and looked 'wrong'. I didn't dare try on the $300 boots that I really liked the looks of. Just in case I *did* like them ON as much as I liked them on the shelf. :p Ended up finding another reasonably cheap pair that 'passed'. Then a week or two later found another pair of awesome high heeled boots. So I'm fairly happy in the boot dept right now. Though, if I could find/afford another pair of riding boots...I'd sooooo do it! I like shoes. :D
  9. That was so sweet. :) How blessed you are to have a friend like that. Funny though that she forgot to add a card and caused all this crazy. heehee
  10. Kool-aid, as mentioned, could get you a pretty nice red. But, yes, it lasts a while. It's definitely not a come home and rinse it all out kind of deal. It will need to fade and grow out...over a couple of months...if your dye job worked well. My daughter used to kool-aid dye her hair often. She has now moved on to Splat! :p Which, now has a temporary version. We've never used it, but, I suspect it wouldn't be much 'worse' than the Kool-aid. Otherwise, there are hair sprays of all colors. Or perhaps you could check into 'hair chalking' ?? http://thebeautydepartment.com/2012/01/chalk-it-up/
  11. Oh I like this answer! I'm pretty much this... I don't go all frilly and floral (gag), but I do like new clothes and to look nice. My jeans must fit and flatter. I don't like sloppy tees and baggy sweatshirts. (though, there IS a time and place for a good hoodie!) I'll wear a skirt or dress if/when I can find one I like. I love shoes. Don't own many, but I love 'em! They range from Chucks to tall boots (as in, ones with heels, not muck boots ;) ) And though initially I agree with much of this personality assessment..I still waffle. I get along better with guys. Always have. I'm doing better with women, but, mmm, no. Guys are easier. I don't like super outdoorsy stuff or sports either. Me and manual labor? Laughable. I can be sorta tough-ish LOL on occasion and I don't mind guns. I aspire to be more girly....I just don't know how to pull it off. I'm not very good at that outfit coordination thing. I need a course! Shoes, tops, pants....and accessories!?!
  12. I wouldn't have a problem with him standing on the chair in order to participate in worship. To just stand, jump, play around...no, I don't like that. But if he's standing so he can see and feel like he's participating, I'm perfectly ok with that. If one is that worried about shoes on furniture, take off the shoes. (says this gal coming from what we have nicknamed 'the barefoot church' LOL half the folks kick off their shoes at some point and on many occasions the entire band has been without shoes :~p)
  13. Oh my goodness! I...I...I just have no words. I am so sorry. :grouphug: :grouphug: And prayers for you and your family. I am so thankful you are surrounded by loving, helpful family and friends right now.
