We're waiting to hear from the vet. Like you, we've had him since before children. I had got him right before my dh and I started dating. We took him on our honeymoon with us, back when I worked I took him with me on business trips, and the only vacations he did not go on with our family, were the two trips we took outside of the country. Pets are friends/mates/buddies/surrogate children/companion and partners in crime. We also had to make the decision to let her go and I will never forget the experience. Iknow the feeling all too well. I am so sorry for your loss.
