ElizabethB
Phonics. It is very rewarding to teach an older child or adult who has struggled for years to read. I do wish I did not have such a supply of students, though, it is a shame they teach phonics so poorly and use so many sight words in so many schools. FairProspects
History, writing & grammar. I anticipate I will also love teaching Great Books, languages, logic & rhetoric, but since I've only taken them and not taught them (well, not to my own kids anyway), I can't say for sure. Also, I'm sure I will enjoy teaching pretty much anything but science and math from the logic through rhetoric stage, since I was a secondary teacher before kids. I really have a hard time with this early elementary/grammar age stuff!!
