  1. I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for. But there is a website called xtrapractice that may be what you are looking for. It's not a book, but I wasn't sure if that idea was set in stone. I've seen other sites mentioned, but unfortunately have forgotten them. Hopefully, someone else can chime in.
  2. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I apologize if there's a thread already, but I'm not usually on this board and didn't see one. Thanks for all the suggestions/information/advices.
  3. Lori has great suggestions. Shee always do. :) If you click on the first link, i agree with the first reply. Except I will say that I think BFSU takes some time to prepare. At least for me it does. RSO is little preparation and I believe there's a coupon code on another thread for 40% off for this weekend. :) Good luck.
  4. :( Sorry that it's that way. I hope you'll able to bring it back up one day.
  5. I was one of those kids who was careless. I don't have a remedy, but would like to say that I wish someone had either told me or showed me why it was important to be careful and thorough. Perhaps if there's something for kids about architecture? A game perhaps? Something that they can measure out, but if they measure wrong they can see the consequences? Idk...... But i do agree with the other posters that more problems is not the answer. Gl.
  6. I like WWE. We started when he was 5, but we don't do much copywork. I figure he'll be doing a lot of copywork with WWE 2 and 3 or with other subjects. I point out punctuation, capitalization, etc. We also started FLL when he was 5. We still do handwriting. He's almost 6. Hth
  7. I agree with maize. Lots of reading, nature walks, and phonics. Some fun math and or basic math. That's all that is needed.
  8. In case you need one more: (rough estimate - had to do it myself) I was curious anyhow. boy - 49" size 1 girl - 42" size 10
  9. I passed the info to someone I know. Don't know if they'll buy it. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Oh soror......you'll be fine. :) What keeps me going? Knowing that in ps there's only 1 teacher for every 30 or 40 kids. Yes I'm tired, but I have my kid's best interest at heart. And the ratio is 1:3. :) Will they turn out okay? Idk. Will they be doctors? That would be nice. Will they be good Christians? I wish. With the love of reading and learning they can be all they can be. A mom can only do so much. :) Good job on your robotics team! I'll say you had a successful year. :)
  11. We have a pad (vinyl) and then a table cloth protector (vinyl) that covers our table. Or how about have your daughter go to another room when you clean it? Good luck. I hope you find a solution that is not costly.
  12. I say go for it. She doesn't have to be 6 to start level 1. If she's ready then she's ready. :)
  13. What happens if more than 2 people sign up for it? Will one still get 49.99 credit?
  14. Here's the link to the thread: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/534454-cricket-magazine-sale/?do=findComment&comment=6039846 The coupon code is on the bottom of the thread. The first one didn't work for me. This one did DFP1041, but I don't think it's for BOGO. I think it's $19.95 for a print and digital copy of a subscription. Have fun!
  15. FWIW, I just ordered ASK because of the coupon code on another thread. :) I've heard good things about it. Perhaps a good intro for a first subscription? But what do I know. I love highlights. :P or high five.....whatever it's called nowadays. When I was young it was Highlights.
  16. No. Not a copout. By asking this question, it tells me that you are doing the best that you can. I'm more mathy than verbal, so I will have to study the logic books ahead of time when they get to that point. I think most of us have our strengths and weaknesses. :) This is a good thread. I'm glad you started it. People have given a lot of good suggestions.
  17. He can come over to my house and babysit. lol :)
  18. I prefer math u see blocks to c-rods. But yes wooden is better than plastic c-rods.
