  1. Thank you so much Jennifer for your detailed reply. Did you ever worry about hurricanes or bad weather in September? My husband was thinking that the Fall might be a better time for us and by your comparison, I think that I agree!!! Again, thanks so much for all the details! Opps, I see it was Karen who gave the first details and Jennifer secondly. Thanks both of you!
  2. Hi I'm in Lindenhurst. I was surprised to see a couple of people up my way. :) I have 3 ds ages 10, 8, and 3. I'd love to meet some of you wonderful WTMers.
  3. I think that I've lost 1-2 pounds. It is really hard to tell without that digital scale. This is helping me to keep my goal before me. :)
  4. Jennifer, would you mind telling me approx. how much you spent? Like did you spend 3000 to 3500, not including spending money? Where did you stay on-site? I have 3 kids and want to go to Disney this year or early next year if at all possible.
  5. With my third I needed to be reminded to look for the (can't remember the real name  ) bloody discharge. Sure enough when I was truely in labor, there it was.
  6. Sounds like a good excuse to get donuts! I'll be off to vote later today.
  7. For me it really depends on how bad the weather is. I didn't take the boys to swim this past Thursday because we were in the middle of a snow storm (most of it hit that night); I had a feverish 2 yo; and I had slipped through the intersection at the end of the Y's driveway and hit another vehicle. Needless to say, I'm a bit snow shy at the moment.
  8. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed watching these!
  9. I thought you were talking about Ice skating which is probably what Mama Bear thought too. So he was roller skating..... you never know, it may become an Olympic sport one day! :) If it does, he can be the first ever gold medal winner for inline skating.
  10. Thanks for this site. The Illinois guide gave me a nice list to go over with my 10 year old to make sure he is ready to be left alone.
  11. I just "shaved" one of my husband's vest yesterday with one of my old shavers then used tape to gather all the fuzz. I hope that this helps.
  12. Very neat. I like how "the audience" all started clapping. My son kept asking why, why. The only answer is because. :)
  13. Wishing you all the best. I'll pray that you will really enjoy what you'll be doing so that it makes it a bit easier.
  14. Drill, drill and more drill. I print out sheets every day and they have to get them done under 5 minutes. Now the 10 yo only has to drill once a week if he can anwer the questions in under 5 minutes.
  15. I was going to say almost anybody but Chase. We had some problems a couple of years ago and while the other companies worked with us Chase did not. They only raised our rate to 29.99%. Citibank was great and worked with us and Washington Mutual has been good so far. :) Right now they have all our Chase debt and I never plan to use Chase for anything if I can at all help it. Our goal is to have no debt in another 2 to 3 years anyway.
  16. Balance looks like it will be a real issue with this one. Definately not a horse for beginners. :D
  17. Someone last season wondered if Kate has a child waiting for her at home. I'm wondering it now to because of the scene where Kate told Saywer that maybe they were coming for her as well as she could be pregnant. Saywer said something like "you had better not be" or "I hope not." I can't imagine that Kate was happy to hear those comments.
  18. My kids loved this movie. They thought it was a lot of fun.
  19. We have a great library and library system. If only I could get the 2 year old to cooperate while in there. I'm thinking that next year will be a better library year for us. :)
  20. Wow, I hope that you end up seeing some of those finances that you are owed.
  21. I'm glad that it's back on especially seeing there are only reruns or reality shows on since the writer's strike. I love watching Lost but I truely am lost.....
  22. It's snowing here and I'm unsure how much snow we are expecting. I've heard that South of Chicago will be harder hit then we will be. We don't have any real plans that are being ruined but I'm not taking the boys to swim practice today as I was in an accident coming out of the YMCA just 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'm a little gun shy so to speak. :o
  23. Our first and only house was a raised ranch so in our case a raised ranch was a starter home. I think that it really depends on the area. We lived in a mixed neighborhood with older and newer homes. The families, some younger and some older, were mixed as well. Around here, Northern Illinois, a raised ranch is probably considered a starter home.
  24. It looks very similar to the case of Fifths Disease that my friends son had. She was told he was only contagious before the rash appeared not afterward. Hope he feels well soon.
  25. I think that I need to get a digital scale because I can't tell if I'm really down anything or not. I did start to watch what I eat though and am starting to feel in control of my eating.
