  1. If we’re going to over analyze the song, then technically she never says no. She says she ought to say no.
  2. I agree. I don't like the song but have never had the impression the girl was drugged.
  3. I've lost count of how many products I've ordered over the years because The Hive recommended them, but I can add the LL Bean comfort mocs to my list.
  4. I’d just sell to the second person, who’s actually the first to say they want it.
  5. I think you’re over thinking it. I don’t eat pecan pie whether it contains alcohol or not, but I wouldn’t expect you not to serve it. I would happily eat apple pie instead (and usually do at Thanksgiving, as I don’t like pumpkin pie either).
  6. I gave up on that several years ago because it was way too slow.
  7. This. It's dumb, but it's a common practice.
  8. You don’t need an egg button. I didn’t even know any models had that option. I rarely use any button except Manual anyway.
  9. I like the Shea Moisture coconut curly shampoo but don’t use the conditioners and styling products in that line because they seem to dry my hair out. Different products work on different people, and you won’t know how it will affect your hair unless you try it. I found a combination of products that works pretty well for me, and 2/3 are from the ethnic hair care section.
  10. I got mine during the Prime Day special last summer and haven't touched my crock pot since then.
  11. Since rejection/selection for mostly shallow reasons is already a fairly significant part of that system anyway, how could anyone prove that they were rejected for being trans- instead of various other reasons?
  12. I wish the parents whose toddler shrieked through several of DD’s and other students’ lines during our school musical would have left him at home with someone. They never even took him out of the auditorium, even as he became progressively more upset.
  13. I’d absolutely leave the performance as soon as you can do so. The less time babies and preschoolers have to spend in environments that aren’t suited to them, the better.
  14. I doubt you could find even one person who doesn't care that so many people die from gun violence.
  15. It kind of seems like the real "foodies" as defined above are the ones who turn their noses up at others' contributions because they're just amateurs. How dare Aunt Nelda presume to serve me something when her chef skillz are so weak?
  16. No, I would not reach out again, as it sounds like this friendship may have run its course and it's time to let it go if she is not really interested in pursuing the friendship. I'm sorry that you're hurting. :grouphug:
  17. How can anyone get "legit" kitchen skills if they don't practice those skills and try new recipes? Our monthly potluck at work is often a testing ground for Pinterest/Tasty/etc. recipes and I see it as a positive thing. I don't think anyone is concerned about being a "foodie." They just like trying new dishes, desserts, and dips and sharing them with others.
  18. I had a momentary thought of “what if†while walking into a stadium for a U2 concert a couple of months ago, and I have considered where I would go if there were ever a shooter at my office building. I haven’t changed my behavior though.
  19. The “seven sons†rhythm doesn’t really work even in the video linked above. That makes sense if the lyrics were tweaked to be more secular.
  20. It upsets my stomach unless I take it after eating something, but I don't have any drowsiness even though other "non-drowsy" cold meds make me sleepy.
  21. The never laughed, never cried lyrics don’t have the right rhythm.
  22. We sang, “Many sons.†This one.
