  1. Well done! Any moment now, someone will nick a silver cow creamer.
  2. never mind. I haven't had enough coffee this morning and misread your post!
  3. :iagree:I could have written this post myself, and now I don't have to!
  4. If these are such good investments, then why is it necessary for the government to make them?
  5. The news of a partisan moderator isn't surprising to me at all. There's a reason that the League of Women Voters stopped sponsoring the debates. This is a news release from 1988: The League of Women Voters is withdrawing sponsorship of the presidential debates...because the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter. It has become clear to us that the candidates' organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and answers to tough questions. The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public.
  6. We don't go door to door because I never liked doing it as a kid, but we still dress up and go to city and church festivals. The kids are way more impressed with bounce houses and stuff to do than they would be ringing doorbells anyway. I'm going to be a roller derby girl this year. :)
  7. It was funny, but it made me miss Phil Hartman.
  8. I was just wishing the other day that there was a Mac alternative to Homeschool Tracker! :)
  9. Paul held a press conference earlier this month in which he specifically encouraged his supporters not to vote for McCain or Obama and to vote for the third-party candidate of their choice instead. He later said he will be voting for Chuck Baldwin. Personally, I think Paul is right where he needs to be and wish we had more Congressmen like him. At the rate the Campaign for Liberty is growing, there will be more like-minded individuals who share his philosophy running for local and state offices in the future.
  10. I support Head Start and similar programs for poor, disadvantaged children. However, I am opposed to the push for universal preschooling and agree with many of the points made in this opinion piece.
  11. I'm in the same boat. For the first time ever, I even considered leaving my ballot blank only for president. I'll be watching the debates to see if I'm persuaded to vote for one of the MCPs, but unless something changes I don't see it happening.
