  1. Thanks for your encouraging words, Amy! I've been thinking about doing T-tapp for a long time, and I finally ordered the Basic set last night. Now, to just push the play button....:D

  6. I'm with you. I've been very disheartened by the lack of civility around here the past few months. :( I do appreciate the mods and Susan. It can't be fun to wade through all the bickering.
  7. I'm so sorry, Rhonda. Continued prayers for you, as you wait. :grouphug:
  8. Happy Birthday, and thanks for the yummy cake! Sorry your plans went awry, but I hope you're having a great day and still get to do the fun stuff next week.
  9. Thanks for the info (and thanks for asking, Laurie)! I was wondering the same thing, as I'm pondering whether I can work this out. :001_smile:
  10. Is this what you're looking for? It looks good, but I haven't made it yet. Cuban Bread in about an hour! From Luann This is super easy. We use the recipe a lot to have a crusty homemade bread on the table in just over an hour. The recipe originally came out of The Tightwad Gazette. Don't preheat the oven. Ingredients 5-6 cups flour 2 T. dry yeast (I use instant) 2 T. sugar 1 T. salt 2 c. hot tap water 1 T. poppy or sesame seeds Mix 4 cups of the flour with the yeast, sugar, and salt. Pour in hot water and beat 100 strokes or 3 minutes with a mixer. Stir in the remaining flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Knead 8 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with damp towel. Let rise 15 minutes. Punch down. Divide into 2 pieces, shape into round loaves and place on baking sheet. Cut an X 1/2 inch deep on top with sharp knife. Brush with water and sprinkle with seeds. Place on the middle shelf of a cold oven. Place a cake pan of hot water on the lowest shelf. Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Bake 40-50 minutes until deep golden brown.
  11. Your friend sounds like an amazing, wonderful woman. What a blessing you have had to be her neighbor! And such a great loss for you now. I have tears reading your post, and I'm praying that you'll have strength and peace in your grief. :grouphug:
  12. I'd love to see something on logic-stage writing as well. I also love Janice's ideas about Literary Analysis!
  13. Prayers for successful surgery and quick recovery for your son!
  14. Mine are young, and I try, try, try to remember to just soak it up, realizing it goes too fast. But it's going to fly by anyway, isn't it? :grouphug: to you today!
  15. Yea baby! Praying for you, Lisa, and hoping to hear good news today!
  16. Congratulations! How exciting for you to have such a wonderful birth experience. Enjoy your little guy!
  17. Well, bummer. Our library does have a reminder service, but Library Elf saves me tons of time, since I am keeping track of six cards for our family. I'll probably pay the fee when I have too, though, because the Elf saves me at least $20 in fines every year.
  18. I'm so glad the surgery is completed! Continued prayers for a quick return to complete health.
  19. I'm praying that the surgery is successful, and that you can handle the extra responsibilities with grace, wisdom and energy!
