This isn't american history but what about taking a year to do state history? It probably would fit in nicely. You could also do SOTW 4 but have the 2nd grader do US Geography that the 4th grader could also do. Cantering the Country and Roadtrip USA are the first that come to mind.
:iagree: When reading your post the first thing I thought of was WP. I've been considering it for us next year too. Wanted to add, we've used 4 WP programs and loved them all and I did minimal tweaking :001_smile:
#1- Making final decisions about next year.. I'm indecisive and everything looks good! ;)
#2- Re-doing younger dd's room (need to paint, get her a bedroom set)
#3- Going clothes shopping for the kids. Why does everyone seem to grow at the same time? :tongue_smilie:
#4- Cleaning out and going through my closet
We go to the show that our county puts on. This year we also got some to put off ourselves, plus sparklers and those popper things. My kids love it! :D
One of my kids is ambidextrous, I think it's really cool!
Agreeing with the other that you should wait until he chooses one. My lefty kept switching until she was around 7. :001_smile:
:iagree: Middle school is awful. As others have mentioned it's the time when they start experimenting with drugs, alcohol and s*x. There is so much peer pressure in middle school too, so many good kids give into it.
I can't seem to find anything I like but I don't know of many curriculums for the subject. I'm mostly looking for worldview course for a 9th grader, but if you're using something you like I need to find more options! :D
