  1. I am not sure. I know my parents who had 4 dogs finally tore out the carpet, treated the cement that had urine stains and installed tile. There house smells a ton better. ;) Good luck.
  2. Probably they have different energy types. Google dressing your truth... Jenn
  3. Don't know if it is international but we used it in TN and my parents continued when we moved to TX. http://www.gatewaychristianschools.com/thehome.html
  4. :grouphug: Perhaps try some fun activities with your little one, playdough, playground, reading books. I find when I can't stand my little one either he is hungry or tired or I am hungry or tired. They really need food more often than we do and cuddling never hurt either even if they don't fall asleep. Instead of telling him what to do you might give him choices, do you want to wear the blue shoes or your clogs...My little one is pretty independent when it comes to getting dressed anymore but offering two acceptable to you choices puts you back in control.
  5. I lived in TN as a teen and tried to be in the band. The Band director was thrilled with the idea. The super didn't know what to think and so he sent it back to the principal, who vetoed it.... I survived. We found other ways for me to be social. A local college had a youth choir, there was a homeschool bowling team, cheerleading squad (for the basketball team) and I was active in my church youth program. I saw kids everyday of the week. Jenn
  6. I usually also fall in the 24hour camp but recently we had a bug that got my youngest down, then 24 passed so I thought we were good to go. We went to an appt and shopping almost right at 24 hours. The next day he was sick again. Then I got it...Not fun... So I might reschedule. My friend teases me because my kids always get sick when I have something on my calendar.
  7. I can understand that, perhaps they will fill that need in some other way...as I am sure they are aware of the loss of a place for concerts...
  8. You could also try craiglist or if you know somebody that sews from church or a homeschool group. If I was close I would sew it up no problem.
  9. My husband and I sung in our stake choir there when we were in Provo and have fond memories. Our apartment was 4 blocks away. I kinda wish I still lived that close.
  10. I loved Elder Anderson's talk on motherhood. Here is the link to the blog he shared. http://www.womenofchristianity.com/?p=5325 And I loved Elder Richards talk, can't remember the topic. But I posted on facebook I liked it. :glare: And yep I loved Elder Utchdorf's talk from last week.
  11. I hope I am not on somebody's radar as a troll. I have been a member a long time as I came to buy curriculm. Not to chat. Now I have started chatting some. I have a blog which is for quilting...not schooling. If anybody ever asks I do have feedback on diaperswappers and ebay. Jenn
  12. Do you really share your house with 8 cats? I would have a very honest friend let you know if it smells. Some people with allergies are very sensitive and while you may not smell it perspective homeowners might. So be sure to make your home smell nice when you are showing it. ;) Jenn
  13. The screen is the size of a color nook screen so maybe take a field trip to B&N.
  14. I love my vitamix. I got a refurbished model. It is still going strong.
  15. I think it is only an issue if you are trying to get individual insurance....I did that and got pregnant before it was covered. We did a homebirth and it worked out fine. Jenn
  16. I should mention we paid ours off then sold it to a company for 1/2 of what we paid...:tongue_smilie: NEVER AGAIN!
  17. Worst money thing we ever did! Run the other way! Take the money you would pay in fees and enjoy a vacation where ever you want. Seriously! Most times shares also have weekly or daily rates.
  18. :iagree: :grouphug: I have a friend that will likely never marry either. It is hard. I have appreciated the choice of Sheri Dew and Barbara Thomas in the RS General Presidency. They are awesome role models. :)
  19. My mom had a hard time with this as we didn't really boomerang back like our cousins. We grew up and moved on with life, a little too soon in her opinion. I got married at 19. I had never lived on my own, I had attended jr college. I had been taught from a young age to make my own decisions. I helped around the house. I had part time jobs outside the home starting at 11, babysitting then cashier at a local produce store. My parents trusted me along the way and supported me. They taught me what was right, how to be independent. I saw how they dealt with money (extreme cc debt followed by credit counseling.) Nope never buying something on a card I can't pay off at the end of the month. EVER! Saw how it affected them. I saw how they dealt with an emotional affair and diagnosis of bipolar for my dad. I knew all the things that drove my mom batty about my dad and opted to not look for those in a mate. I still had somethings that I needed to learn but I don't think I could have learned them till it was time to actually do them. My hardest part with cooking was cooking for 2 not 6... And I had a list. I wanted an eagle scout, returned missionary, seminary graduate(I am LDS) and he had to be an equal. Somebody who could lift me up. Oh and he had to be worthy to take me to the LDS temple to get married. And a sense of humor and be a hard worker. At the same time those were all things I had a goal of or had done. I got my Young Women's in Excellence which is like an Eagle scout award. I wanted to go on a mission. I graduated seminary. I was worthy to go to the temple. And I try to laugh when needed and was a hard worker. Jenn
  20. I did it till I got sick around week 6. Then the weather turned and I never got back into the swing of it....Plan to start it again next spring when I am not preggo. I loved doing it.
  21. I have no idea on age. I have a pay as you go phone only. But if I had a 10 yo bugging me for a phone to text I might look at this company with text only phone plans for $10 a month. http://www.qwertcorp.com/ Of course they would be paying it out of their allowance/chore earnings.
  22. We don't walk in lines either. ;) I think part of the problem is that we have school in a house. We have pets, chores, toys, and other distractions. My job isn't just teacher, it involves being the janitor and cafeteria lady, and laundress. So while I am busy trying to multitask my kidssss wander. ;) And I wish I had just a classroom but I don't...Still tweaking it. Jenn
