  1. :grouphug: :bigear: My fourth is due in Feb....I have now idea how I am going to do it. I do know I will be resting, my kids will be enjoying netflix and frozen/crockpot dinners. My 9 yo will be an awesome helper and he can use the stove for eggs or ramen. Think we may need to expand his cooking ability... Laundry is my biggest fear....
  2. hmm Space Camp. Lego Robotics, private Music lessons all kiddos, and gas driving to swim team. And I would just buy everything new instead of stalking boards. Anything left over would go to educational travel.
  3. You could just do the 4 day schedule on each one and read two days at a time...
  4. Have you heard of Dr. Lee? He wrote, What your Doctor may not tell you about Prememonpause. It talks about how to use natural progesterone to balance your hormones. Great ideas. I used it to help me get pregnant!
  5. Cedarworks was my favorite too. We went with playaround by cedarworks. They carry it at Sam's club or they used too. Here is a link to the website. http://www.cedarworks.com/product/playaround When we got ours 4 years ago it was about $1500 for the middle size one, Trading Post (at the time it was the biggest.) My kids love it. We let it go natural. And it has held up pretty well. We have to fix the ladders occasionally and we need to fix the pole, as it slipped out of the hole, but we are dealing with cracking soil in Texas. It has been well used and loved. Jenn
  6. If I lived in town. I would. I live in the Country with no neighbors in quick walking distance.
  7. :grouphug: I live an hour from my midwife at the birth center. I had my 3rd one just fine. I got there in plenty of time. He was 9lbs 14 oz. You can do whatever you put your mind to do. Be sure to move around in labor and let gravity help. Stand or Squat or hands and knees. Unless you have a history of very quick labors I am sure you can get to the hospital in time. I am sure I will be able to make it yet again to the birth center. Even though my labors have gotten shorter. 12 instead of 36.... And when I was pregnant with my first my doctor was convinced the u/s was off because I was measuring small. My guy came out at 8lbs 15oz...surprising everybody. I know now that I carry my large babies hidden in my long torso. :glare: And they all like to back long. :glare:
  8. :bigear: I am just starting AAS, but since I have SWR I might use that after we finish AAS....unless my child tested out of it....
  9. You might try Speechercise. It is a CD /cd rom with fun songs and activities. I used it with my guy that was having issues with speech. And now is fine. And yes I agree R is a later sound.
  10. We often did juice, apple,oj, or grape growing up. Now a days we do smoothies frozen, pudding pop or just juice. Tupperware makes great molds or you can buy tovolo ones, we like the rocket pops as they look more store bought.
  11. For those of you get rid of your AAS I am looking for level 2 &3. :001_smile:
  12. :grouphug: We do sonlight, lots or reading and oral answers. We limit seat work to HWOT, and a math worksheet. It works for my active boys. There would be no way I could tell my boys to look up a defintion and write it down. It would illicit tears too.
  13. We share and even you don't have a spouse, you need to have them somewhere just in case. My brother died at 24...leaving no passwords, login info behind. Still haven't figured out his computer....such a waste.
  14. ipod touch. Dh loves his. it has wifi and apps and music. It is like a pda on steroids.
  15. LOL! Thanks for making me feel better about the fact we didn't do well with ours last week either. ;) Jenn
  16. It is a good movie. Another awesome movie you might like is The Young Victoria.
  17. I love Right Start we use it as our math. You can sometimes find a set used. I am too lazy to make the cards myself, so I would opt to buy the cards. Or a used games book and some used cards off somebody selling manipulatives. It is an effortless way to review facts. Basically you need the green cards and the book. Blue cards are for multiplication, and yellow fractions, clock cards, and grey money cards. We love the corners game and I would get that. You could buy just the green cards (search basic) $5 and the corners game $6. They come with some instructions so start with that. Get the book if you want to expand your games. :)
  18. :grouphug::grouphug: A Friend posted this on Pintrest. Good Moms Have Sticky Floors, Messy Kitchens, Laundry Piles, Dirty Ovens, And Happy Kids! We are still working out the kinks in clean house/schooled kids....if anybody figures out how to have that happen let me know...
  19. My oldest was 8 when he learned to ride. He would not try and try. So I offered $10 (price of lego bionicle) if he could learn in a day.....worked like a charm. My second, was riding at 5 but he is way more athletic.
  20. We are also doing CC cycle 1 at home and are on week two too. In addition we are memorizing scripture mastery verses, The Family Proclamation paragraph two and Article of Faith 2. Love your quote by Elder Wirthlin.
  21. I would suggest Right Start Math games, to give her practice with her multiplication. Good luck.
  22. If you do use HWT. I tried Cursive First at that age and it was horrible and taught him bad habits which we are still undoing. Good luck.
  23. Just some thoughts. Taco meat can be beef, goat, pork, or even lentils. You can easily find and make the seasoning from spices. For sour cream go with plain yogurt. Make your own if needed. Can you get dry milk for making yogurt? What milk is common over there? I am assuming not cows milk... Sounds like an adventure. Enjoy it.
