  1. Thank you, Arctic bunny. What I did was instead of using the app on my laptop (where only one playlist showed up) I used a browser and went to the apple music website. I was able to access all my playlists that way. I don’t know why the app doesn’t work, but as long as I can listen, I’m satisfied.
  2. Yes! Our next accreditation visit happens in 2026 and I’m already starting to stress about it! I’m just hoping that there are others at the college who have been through this many times who will have advice for me.
  3. So excited for you! I am a program director at a community college too! (Not EMT). Give yourself a full year to learn the ropes. It took me quite some time to get used to a desk job. You’ll get there! So happy for you!
  4. I've asked on the Apple support page but so far I haven't received a reply, and since I know you are all so knowledgeable on a wide range of topics, I thought I would post here. I usually listen to Apple Music on my phone. Often. No problem there. But recently I have wanted to listen on my laptop. When I log into my account on the laptop, it doesn't show all of my playlists. It shows some of them but not all. Actually, it really only shows one playlist that I made, but the other playlists are sort of generic (90's music, classical music, etc), playlists that I clearly did not make. Here's one other clue. My main playlist (let's call it Mom's Tunes) on my phone has hours and hours of songs on it. But that same playlist on the laptop, only has a tiny fraction of the songs even though it is clearly the same playlist. And all of my other playlists (Biking, Running, Love Songs, etc) are just not showing up on laptop at all. One more clue. It has been years since I tried to access it on my laptop. Wait. Another clue. I have a Family Account. I am the administrator. Any ideas how I can listen to my playlists on the laptop? TIA
  5. Definitely when it came out years ago, it was about a boy with a fast car, sung from the perspective of a girl. Absolutely. Didn’t matter whether the singer was gay, back then gay people sang songs with heterosexual characters. It’s a girl song.
  6. I eat a small amount of nuts in the car for breakfast. Nuts.com even has portioned little bags if you want. But i usually just measure out my own
  7. I really like John Denver. I saw him in concert when I was in 8th grade. I recently listened to several of his songs in a row. I was surprised by how many I still really really like. Even the ones that I feel were overplayed, like Sunshine on My shoulder and Take Me Home Country Roads, I really enjoyed. I’m not a country music person now AT ALL. And maybe some people wouldn’t consider him truly country. But yes, I really enjoy his music. And for the record, I even loved the movie Oh God that he was in with George Burns.
  8. I would say that it’s time to renegotiate this division of chores. This is not working. Perhpas there are other chores that are better suited to him that will actually get done.
  9. Them’s fightin’ words!!! I loved the movie, but the BOOK! Have you even read the book??! (just trying to get into the spirit of the thread 😉) What do you know about Ellen from the movie? Practically nothing! But the book gives you sooo much. And what about the scene in the book where all Scarlett wants is to go home and fall into her mother’s arms because mother would know what to do and what a wonderful relief to have mother spoil her once again. And then…. 😭 I just didn’t get the same amount of emotion from the movie. Oh no. Sorry. The book is better. You’ll need a better example for a movie that is better than the book!
  10. No. It does not. You mean your car is turned off, and some how it senses that you are leaving the keys behind when you go inside the house?
  11. I agree with most things mentioned here. But I haven’t heard this mentioned… Car fobs that don’t have a key that goes in the ignition! I positively hate them. There is NO advantage at all. My dh has one of these for his car. He throws the fob in the cupholder (or wherever) and then forgets about it because when you turn the car off, there is nothing in your hand to remind you to remove it from the car!
  12. So sorry to hear he going through this ordeal. Three weeks in the hospital is a long time.
  13. I hurt my shoulder lifting weights back about four years ago. I thought it would feel better in a few days. It did not. I was encouraged to keep using it through the pain. I didn’t baby it. Around the six month mark, I was really getting discouraged. But then it gradually started getting better. No surgery needed.
  14. Jamberry, definitely. Other books for when they’re slightly older: Seven Silly Eaters (the person who said they like a book with a cadence should check this out) and the Milly-Molly-Mandy books.
  15. I suppose I read the question envisioning a social worker or CPS coming to someone’s home. Extremely stressful for the home owner kind of situation where they were chain smoking out of nervousness. So, I voted to allow smoking for the home owner but in reality, I think a third option is what I would have preferred. Even in the especially stressful situation, politely ask if we can take this discussion outdoors. Bitter cold weather? Might be tough, maybe please open a window. I answered viewing it from the home owner, and they felt like they were already being put in a difficult situation. So, I think context is important. If I’m going in to do PT on someone who is expecting me, is different than if I’m going in possibly removing their children.
  16. Thank you all. I told her to wash much smaller loads. I think when she lived at home generally washed all her clothes on Saturdays. Maybe two loads. But she goes through many more costume changed than I do in a typical day. So, we’ll start with that. Thanks for all the help!
  17. I sent it to all my kids and I was fascinated that, unlike me, they all saw the goat first! I wonder if the words weren’t there, if more people would see a bird first.
  18. I’m happy that you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Hoping that rehab helps you feel stronger real soon!
  19. My dd just moved into an apartment less than a month ago. Brand new apartment. No one wver lived in thsi unit, so brand new appliances. They have this appliance - washer/dryer combination. I’ve never heard of them before so never used one. Dd says her clothes are not getting dry now. She asked me where the lint screen was, thinking since she never emptied it, maybe that was the cause of clothes not getting dry. But apparently there is no lint screen on these jawns. I told her maybe she is overloading it?? Anyone have any experience/advice?
  20. Woah. It took me a while to figure out the goat. Amazing!
