  1. My niece’s baby shower is tomorrow. With her gift I am giving Jamberry.
  2. I was just at a dental continuing ed course last week and the pediatric dentist also mentioned how awful gummy vitamins are for teeth. Gummy food of all kinds are the absolute worst for your teeth. Even brushing immediately afterwards isn’t enough. Maybe cheese, an apple, AND brushing.
  3. Wow, I had no idea it was getting so rare. I guess I should be glad I just redeemed the last of them.
  4. Interesting. Do you have an account at any of those banks? I would think a bank would only provide the service for an account holder.
  5. Yes, I wouldn’t think it would be an easy process for you with POA. I was thinking more of the people here who are just sitting on matured bonds.
  6. Just choose one or the other. If this is not something you expect to be doing often, and you feel short on time, just pick either Uber OR Lyft. I've only ever used Uber, but I imagine Lyft is similar. After the ride is over, they will ask if you want to tip the drive (Yes, you do). They will also ask you to rate your experience (they will rate how good a passenger you are also).
  7. This is interesting to me. I’ve had many many bonds over the years. I just redeemed our very last one a few months ago. I’ve always just gone to the bank. No problem. So, I’m over here shaking my head about all the people who don’t redeem them when they mature. But now I understand a little better…if my bank didn’t do it, I wouldn’t know how to redeem them either!
  8. Gardenmom, if I recall, you will want to download the app before your trip. You will probably need to create an account, or st the very least, enter your credit card information into the app. Don’t wait until you’re at the airport. I’m only saying this because you said you needed step by step instructions. Once you download the app, it’s not difficult but it might take a little bit of time.
  9. I just did it a few months ago at my local bank. But I understand that people don’t always have a local bank any more.
  10. Here’s one more pic after I had pinned two sides. You can see how out of square it really was.
  11. I’m tickled pink with the results of my quilt blocking. It is laying so much flatter! The first three pics are BEFORE. Last three pics are AFTER.
  12. You take them to the bank and tell the cashier that you want to redeem them. Very simple process. Plus, if you use them for education, I believe there is some kind of tax break.
  13. Yes, it says I have no license. I’m convinced having a work account that I access from home has messed things up. I have tried to sign into my own personal Microsoft account (I know I have one cuz I wrote down the email address and password), but it refuses to let me sign into it. Only wants me to use my work email.
  14. Greya question. I didn’t think of that. It opens just fine. But I can’t edit them! Oh no! And it has that yellow bar across the too that doesn’t say anything.
  15. I'm also interested in trying Armoire because it's rental rather than buying. Anyone have experience with that one?
  16. Oh my gosh, I haven't been leaving guest soap for my guests ever! I didn't know I was supposed to! Egads.
  17. I've tried Stitch Fix a couple of times. Usually, they're pretty good in the beginning. But then it gets worse and worse (or too similar to the previous item that I said I liked). So I end up canceling it. Interested in trying something new.
  18. This must have been discussed somewhere here. If so, just point me in the right direction please. I’m looking for recommendations for one of those subscription clothes places. Mostly for work stuff. Anyone have any preferences?
  19. No I have not updated ios recently. It wants me to, but that always seems to cause problems so I’m ignoring that. I will go check the links now. Thanks
  20. Yes, but if you redeem them in 2024, even if they matured in 2021, why not just report in 2024 tax year?
  21. I have a subscription??? That’s news to me! Not saying it’s not possible. But I don’t pay anything to Microsoft monthly or yearly. I bought this Office for Mac package back in 2014 or so. So did that have an expiration date, I wonder?
  22. Are you sure? This seems to indicate otherwise. In general, you must report the interest in income in the taxable year in which you redeemed the bonds to the extent you did not include the interest in income in a prior taxable year.
  23. There's PLENTY of work to be done once they've moved. They should save their energy for that, IMO.
  24. Just let the movers do it all. U-Haul rentals are notoriously unsafe vehicles. The amount of money they would save would be a drop in the bucket. Plus, y'know, age. I'm guessing they're at least 50, probably closer to 60. I'm in pretty good shape and I'm a hard worker, so I would be tempted to try moving also. But my moving days are over. It's not worth the risk of injury. Let the pros take care of it.
  25. Tried that. Didn’t work. As soon as I click Create, the first slide opens like ot normally does, but it is called Presentation1 [Read Only]. Below the ribbon is a yellow bar that says To keep up to date Check for Updates. Did that. No change. The yellow bar stays. And then there is a second yellow bar that says nothing. Just a yellow bar with an X if I want to close it. I close it. No change. Still Read Only.
