  1. I find it so interesting that the poll is saying that most people would put the fiancee up front with me! Interesting! I was leaning towards putting son up front, but now I’m not sure. I’ll probably just play it my ear and let them sit wherever.
  2. Whoa. Bold!! And now I know why it takes so darn long for some people to respond (if ever!)
  3. Good points. Lots of variables. Son and fiancee live together. They met each other when they lived several states away. So, we’ve been with her in person maybe 15 times. They now live much closer but still an hour away. I like her a lot and I think she’s pretty comfortable with me, but she’s not a chatty Cathy. Nor is my son (although interestingly he has become a better conversationalist since meeting her). Neither of them are tall. And according to my daughters, my backseat is pretty tight (I wouldn’t know).
  4. I drive alone all the time and I’m not lonely. But this is different. I am with people. I want to be interacting.
  5. I hate having other people drive. I’m a terrible front seat passenger. Constantly using the buddy brake system. Drives my husband nuts. He’s the only one I let drive.
  6. Like a chauffeur, right? That’s how I would feel. But I probably won’t make a stink over it.
  7. Ooops. I edited to add the choice that I'm a little concerned that they will choose and that will make me the most uncomfortable
  8. Just for fun. I'm not at all concerned about what it ends up being. But who doesn't love a poll?!
  9. You're driving your 29 year old son and his fiancee, 1.5 hour drive, visit family, drive back. Your car. What are the seating arrangements? ETA: oops. he's 30. I forgot until I saw it in my signature. lol
  10. Wonderful news! Welcome, Baby Boy!!
  11. Elizabeth hasn’t posted in 11 hours. That HAS to be a good sign. C’mon, baby!
  12. Unbelievable! Some people have no sense at all!
  13. We didn’t allow it. But what has happened is we’ve had some younguns move back home. And when they were living on their own, they would eat on their beds. So, yes, it happens some. Fortunately they’re generally pretty responsible. And have learned a hard lesson once or twice when they’ve spilled a drink on their bed and suddenly had laundry to do.

    Cannoli

We make our own shells. I know many people who don’t care for cannolis but love ours. The kits (and even bakery bought ones) have thick heavy shells. Ours are thinner and lighter and fabulous, if I do say so myself. Yes, they are quite a chore to make. We generally only do them at Christmas time and make tons. But sooo worth the effort.
  15. When we got Hello Fresh, we specifically requested the 20-30 min meals. They were great for after work. Dh and I worked together so it didn’t take long at all. It was a gift. We keep saying we’ll try again but so far we haven’t.
  16. I voted famous person birthday is the best cuz I was born on George Washington’s birthday. It’s not so big that it competes with the birthday; it’s just a fun fact.
  17. Ok, it’s like that old video game Asteroids out there now
  18. Thinking of baby T and hoping for improvement every day!
  19. Forgot to add my most favorite audio book: Inheritance of Loss. Cutting for Stone was very good also.
  20. Crying in HMart was fabulous. Read by the author. I especially liked the first half. Currently listening to The Alice Network. Nothing deep. It’s keeping me interested. I’m not finished yet. Sometimes a bad ending can ruin a book for me, but for now I’ll recommend.
  21. Ok, I haven’t seen to in years and years, but I was just discussing scary movies with my dd last week, and I mentioned When a Stranger Calls. The one from 1978-79, or thereabouts, not the remake. It has more tension than gore from what I remember, but maybe I’m wrong. It is free on Netflix so I started watching it and yes plenty of tension. But I only watched the first half hour. You might want to zip thru and see if there’s gore. Edit: oh you said not before 80’s. So close. Another edit: it’s on Amazon, not Netflix
