At that age all of my kids are sitting in a high chair eating dinner with us. When the baby is done eating, DH or I clean her up and put her in the living room with toys and a sippy cup.

My oldest dropped napping at 8 months old. He hated to takes naps! My 3 1/2 yr old hasn't taken a nap since she was 16 months old and my 13 month old still naps thank goodness.

DS had surgery as a infant and they recommended to rub the scar to break up the scar tissue and to put some kind of scar reducer on it. I think we used cocoa butter lotion and it helped a lot.

Don't say anything. They are not your kids, just congratulate them. If Olivia was a twin we so would have used Olivia and Oliver. I like matchy twin names, just not made up ones like Mikyleigh.

We use Horizons Spelling and there are 12 words a week.

I started K at 4 with DS and he was more than ready for it. He blew through all of his K stuff in 4 months and moved onto 1st grade. I take his lead with everything, so far he is doing great. We slow down when he needs to and speed up when he needs to.

Horizons does have speed drills. We have only done 1st grade so far but they started about Lesson 40ish or so. They are located in the TM.

I coslept with DD2 until she was 8 months old. I never did with DS or DD1 they moved too much in their sleep.

Josiah was actually a runner up. It was between Josiah Leo and Jonah Mattias. I thought the Jonah combo flowed better. I am thinking about changing Belle to Isabelle to avoid the disney reference. I didn't think of that before. We can't use Elizabeth, DH likes to use family names as middle name and there is no one in the family named Elizabeth.

Why is that? I worked at a daycare about 8 yrs ago now and there was the cutest little boy, named Joesph, but everybody including his parents called him JoJo. That's were I got it from.

We call all the kids cutest nicknames when they are little. Logan was Logi Bear, Emily is Emmie, Olivia is Livvy or Livers(no clue where that came from!) I really like nicknames for some reason. We would use just Joe but it is MIL's middle name and we have a really strained relationship. Of course when he gets older we plan to just use Jonah but when they are toddler age I like cutesy nicknames. I have used nymbler but DH is being really picky this time!

I think we are sticking with these 2 but would still like some outside perspective. I am not sure if we are going to tell family the name or not so no one else to really bounce names off of. Thanks! :)

DH and I like to have names picked out early. Siblings are Logan Christopher, Emily Lynn and Olivia Rae. Jonah Matthias - Jonah covers alot of Jo's in the family and Matthias is a variant of DH's first name. We would probably call him JoJo a lot. Sophia Belle - I think Sophia goes well with Emily and Olivia. Belle is after Dh's great great grandma.

I went to public school and I am STILL socially awkward!

We started out using it with DS. He completed all of K and units 1-4 of the 1st grade. We would have stuck with it but he was way past it. I ended up switching him to Horizons. I plan to use the LA Lifepacs with my 3 yr old when she is ready. I know I am in the norm but I like them and DS loves them! :)

Some things like milk and cheese you can only get the LEB.

LOL...cool whip is definitely not a WIC item. Most likely it was supposed to be on the frozen juice or frozen fruits and veggies. I am betting the cool whip is next to the frozen fruits and someone just messed up.

We are using FLL1 right now. I was tossing it up between FLL, Shurley and GWG. I decided to uses FLL1 for a easy, relaxed intro to grammar and then do Shurley 1 since he is so young. I really wanted to do GWG with him but DH really wanted the kids to use Shurley.

I think using CLE LA would be overkill. DS is doing Horizons right now and there is alot of writing and it even covers capitalization, punctuation, simple writing lessons, antonyms, homonyms, and synonyms. I think you would just need something to cover parts of speech and you would be set.

DS is STILL not all the way potty trained at almost 5! We work with him all the time and have since he was 2 but he just doesn't seem to care. So yes it is normal, at least to me!

You know that is just a nickname right? His name is Prince Michael Jackson 2nd, kinda weird though he has the same name as his brother though... I like Madison ( I can't bring myself to use it though since it means son of maud), Jayden, Aiden, Kaden, Hayden, Tristan. I like all the boy names that end in -en. LOL.
