  1. Mann says ""revved up like a deuce" but most people mistake it for douche. "The song is notable for lead vocalist Chris Thompson’s garbled enunciation, especially of the phrase “revved up like a deuce†which has led many fans to interpret it as “wrapped up like a doucheâ€. The original Springsteen lyric is neither of the above, instead being “cut loose like a deuceâ€. Springsteen once attributed the popularity of the Manfred Mann version partially to Thompson’s enunciation." http://www.last.fm/music/Manfred+Mann%27s+Earth+Band/_/Blinded+By+The+Light
  2. He definitely says "Cut Loose like a deuce" in concert. Here is a video. Blinded by the light starts about 9:14 I think. http://www.vh1.com/video/misc/177957/storytellers-devils-and-dust-and-blinded-by-the-light.jhtmlhttp://
  3. The song was originally written by Bruce Springsteen. The lyrics are "Cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night" A deuce is a 1932 Ford Hotrod. He clarified it on Behind on the music on Vh1. I am a huge Boss fan!
  4. I still swear the beginning of the Dora Explorer them song says "Dora La Whore a" LOL

  6. No! All of my kids wake up about 6:30am by their selves.
  7. We used Horizons. I probably won't use it again though. I just didn't like the 30+4 instead of 1+2.
  8. Whopping cough is a bacteria. They can not vaccinate for a bacteria. The only thing the vaccine does is lessen the symptoms, so a vaccinated person can spread it and not even no it. That is one reason my children do not get the vaccine. In early 2010, a spike in cases appeared at Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael, and it was soon determined to be an outbreak of whooping cough -- the largest seen in California in more than 50 years. Witt had expected to see the illnesses center around unvaccinated kids, knowing they are more vulnerable to the disease. "We started dissecting the data. What was very surprising was the majority of cases were in fully vaccinated children. That's what started catching our attention," said Witt. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/03/us-whoopingcough-idUSBRE8320TM20120403
  9. Ds is doing Horizons phonics 1 right now. He does about 1/2 the writing and then I scribe the other half for him. It seems to be working so far!
  10. I am pregnant with #4 now and DH is already mentioning #5!
  11. My inlaws are the same exact way. They don't even acknowledge the kids birthday. When we move we are cutting them out because I can not take it anymore. They act all lovey dovey with the kids and act like a great grandma/grandpa in front of other people but when no one else is around they want nothing to do with the kids. I still have issues with dealing with it, but it is their loss in the end.
  12. Dh and I's marriage is great and I don't think it is hard work at all. We just go with the flow really. Never have really argued either.
  13. OPs case does not sound like pyloric stenosis. DS had it and the main sympton is projectile vomiting and wanting to eat right after they vomit everywhere. OP said he was spitting up, not projectile vomiting. Gas is also not a symptom of pyloric stenosis. Pyloric Stenosis also shows up between 2-8 weeks of age. It is most likely NOT pyloric stenosis but baby needs a change of formula/has reflux. http://www.chw.org/display/PPF/DocID/22810/router.asp

  19. I would let the cat if it wants to go outside. My cat loves being outside even when its 110 outside. He lays in the shade somewhere. He just scratches on the door or a window when he wants back in. I am sure your cat will want back in if it gets to hot.
