I use Horizons, Singapore and Math Mammoth with DS. Partly I do it to slow him down some. He does Horizons everyday and one lesson from either Singapore or Math Mammoth. Sometimes he does all 3!
My plan is to do:
Phonics - 10 min
Math- 15 min.
Spelling - 10 min
Geography - 10 min (2-3x/wk)
Science - 10 min (2-3x/wk)
Handwriting - 5 min
But he usually ends up doing this because he wants to.
Phonics - 20 min
Math - 1 hr
Spelling - 30 min
Geography - 20 min everyday
Science - 10 min everyday
Handwriting - 5 min everyday
Yes but that is only for half the years worth. I just ordered (couple weeks ago) through RR and ordered 1A TB, WB and 1B WB and TB and spent close to $60 with shipping. For the entire year it would be
1aTB: $13.50
1aWB x2: $26
1bTB: $13.50
1bWB x2: $26.00
= $79 not including the HIG.
I was just confused because it came off as she was getting the entire years worth for $36 and not just 1A. :)
How is it only $36? I just ordered 1A and 1B TB and WB for $50 some dollars and that was the cheapest I could find it and that is only for one kid. If I would have ordered for two it would have been $70ish.
MEP is free. I would link but I am on my kindle. I would probally do Singapore with MEP if you plan to stay with Singapore. If they are not ready you can always put away the workbooks and just play math games.
ETA:Here is the link for MEP http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/projects/mep/default.htm
DH and I are going to start trying again soon for another baby. He sooo wants another boy. I like having the names pick out ASAP. I can't decide between these five! The MN is a family name.
DS will be finished with K in about 2 months and here is the plan for 1st.
Phonics: finish Phonics Pathways
Math: Horizons 1
Grammar: Shurley 1
Writing: WWE1
Penmanship: D' Nealian 1
Spelling: A Reason For Spelling A
Science: BJU 1
History: BJU 1
That's exactly why I don't shop at goodwill anymore. Last time I went I spent $30 on three clothing items for DS and then went to Baby GAP and bought him 2 pants, 1 hoodie, 1 rashguard and 2 shirts on the clearance rack for $24 with tax.
