  1. We use cloth diapers at home and sposie when we are out.
  2. I never said one didn't. The ones I choose to make do not. :thumbup1:
  3. Not the ones I make....and I am not worried about fat content for my children. They need it. My 3 yr old is 26lbs.... The Lady's Cheesy Mac: Ingredients 4 cups cooked elbow macaroni, drained 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup sour cream 4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Once you have the macaroni cooked and drained, place in a large bowl and while still hot and add the cheddar. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and add to the macaroni mixture. Pour macaroni mixture into a casserole dish and bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Top with additional cheese if desired. Healthier mac and cheese: Ingredients Add to grocery list 2 cups whole wheat or regular elbow macaroni (8 ounces) 2 cups shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese (8 ounces) ½ cup low-fat evaporated milk 2 large eggs, lightly beaten ¼ cup reduced-fat sour cream 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese Directions Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the macaroni according to the package directions. Drain well and transfer the pasta to a large bowl. Add the Cheddar and stir until the pasta is coated and the cheese has melted. In a medium bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, eggs, sour cream, mustard, salt and cayenne pepper. Add the milk-egg mixture to the macaroni and cheese and stir well to combine. Scrape the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the Parmesan evenly over the top. Bake until golden brown and crispy around the edges, 35 to 40 minutes.
  4. It isn't a law in my state. My kids will be in a booster until they pass the 5 step test. They will also be in a 5pt harness until they outgrow it, which will be awhile. My 3 yr old is only 26lbs so she is still RF.
  5. I would just work where he is at and keep moving him forward and not worry about grade levels. I would report him to the district though as the grade he would be in in public school.
  6. Heck, I love Paula Deen. I cook one of her meals 2-4 times a week. Her meatloaf is so yummy. The kids love her mac and cheese recipe, too me it is WAY healthier than crap out of a box.
  7. I just ordered a few workbooks and received them 4 days later. Could you call and check on the status?
  8. DS is so stubborn and sensitive. He cries and whines constantly if he doesn't get his way. I love his sensitivity sometimes but most of the times DH and I can look at him the wrong way and he will burst into tears. He is very strong willed.
  9. Nope, only the first 30 elements in HS and College.
  10. I agree with PP that said FIAR. I looked into it a year or so ago for DS but it is not his style. I am with you on DC asking for school. DS asks the moment he wakes up.
  11. I only hang clothes on the line in Spring and Summer. I take a load out right when I wake up and swap it with another load mid day. In the Spring it takes about 2-3 hrs or so for the clothes to dry, during the Summer it takes about 30 min. or less. It saves me about $60 a month so I am all for it! Is there a covered area outside where you could hang them?
  12. DS: Received all vaccines on schedule besides chicken pox and MMR. He was BF until 6 months. He didn't get so much as a runny nose while he was BF. Two days after I weaned him he got a bad cold and then a month after that got a bad ear infection. He was going to the doc every month for something after I weaned him. DD1: We delayed and selectively vaxed her. I weaned her at 7 months and she got her first cold within a week. She gets sick maybe every 3 months or so. DD2: No vaccines at all. I just weaned her 2-3 weeks ago and she still hasn't been sick. For me personally I do attribute how sick they get to BF and vaccines.
  13. Its possible. DD2's first tooth finally broke through at 3 1/2 months after teething since 2 months.
  14. They would all freeze up. We tried different games, replacing batteries and recalibrating it. Usually within a few minutes of recalibrating it, it would freeze again. I don't know if we somehow ended up a dud every time or what
  15. All three of my kids get a bedtime story. We started it when they were a few months old and it has continued. DS and DD1 will not go to sleep now without a story.
  16. We bought DS a Nintendo DS. There are a lot of educational games believable for it. He has went though 3 leapsters and they all died.
  17. I will check out WTM at the library. Thank you!
