  1. I skipped them with ds and he has done fine with it.
  2. AAS? Even though it is kinda expensive but it sounds like it would be a good fit for him.
  3. Thank you! I will look further into the suggestions :)
  4. I graduated in 2006 and I didn't take any foreign language and I stopped math in 10th grade, Geometry. I think I only took 2 science classes in high school. I am now completing my Bachelors degree so it didn't affect me at all.
  5. My ODD will be 4 in a few weeks and I am starting to research phonics programs for her. I am using Horizons for my son and there is no way she can use that, way too fast paced for her. She doesn't really know her ABC's, not from lack of trying with her though. So I would need something that starts completely at the beginning. She goes to speech therapy once a week and her main problem is leaving the sounds off the ends of words and omitting the sounds on the middle. Any recommendations on what might work with her?
  6. I have read it. We are just letting our kids go at their pace (well just ds and odd right now). We don't plan on taking any long breaks, just a few days at the holidays. My kids will most likely finish 2+ yrs in 12 months. We won't push them but we won't hold them back either.
  7. I haven't found any cheap shoes that last long at all. I always buy stride rite or skechers which run $40-$50. They always last until they are outgrown.
  8. We try to school when she is taking a nap. If not I either put in yo gabba gabba, put her in high chair with lots of toys and/or snacks, or just let her go play if she is entertaining herself. She is 14 months.
  9. No, but my kids have really common names that cannot be shortened. For some reason though my grandpa always calls DS "Josh" when his name is Logan. It happens every time we see him.
  10. I am using BJU Science 1 with my 5yr old and he is doing great with it. He loves it. It is young earth but we just plan to skip what we don't agree with. I already ordered the 2nd grade for him to start when he is ready.
  11. Ds is K age and doing 1st grade work. Math: 1-2 lessons daily Phonics: 1-2 lessons daily Reading: one story a day Journal: 2xs/wk Science: 3xs/wk History: 2xs/wk Spelling: 4xs/wk Art : 1-2xs/wk We usually spend no more than an hr on seatwork.
  12. Age should not be the only factor. ODD potty trained at 16 months and DS was 4 1/2 before he was fully trained.
  13. :iagree:I BF all of my children and I made sure everyone knew in the hospital and they still wanted to send us home with TONS of samples of formula.
  14. I did Evan Moor's Beginning Geography with DS when he was 4. He did the worksheet and then I would have him draw a picture about what we went over that day. He seemed to really enjoy it.
  15. Thank you ladies. I am feeling a little better today. I have come to the conclusion that everything happens for a reason even though this the most horrible thing I ever gone through. There could have been chromosomal issues or something and I much rather it happen now instead of us finding out at the 20wk scan that the babies would have a hard life or would not be able to live outside the womb. Its still hard, especially because we wanted twins so bad.:crying:
  16. Now its bright red :( I found my doppler and baby is moving like crazy and has a strong heartbeat at 150-160. I am cramping more but it is a good sign that heartbeat is strong right?
  17. Yes, he wants me to come in tomorrow morning. Dh is staying home with the kids so can I go by myself.
  18. When my kids have had a yeast rash it never smelled. The lotriman always cleared it right up in a day or so.
  19. I would but my doc is 2 1/2 hrs away. I didn't call them Friday or Saturday because I thought it was just from sex but I started getting worried today because it has never lasted this long before. The hospitals close to us are horrible. They diagnosed my son at 5wks old with the flu when he really needed emergency surgery.
  20. I am about 12 1/2 wks right now. I started spotting Friday. It will be anywhere from brown, light pink to red. I am having a few cramps. I seem to get the most spotting/bleeding when I am cramping really bad. I am going tomorrow morning to see my doc. Just wanted to see if this has happened to anybody else and if the baby was ok? DH keeps telling me it's because its more than one and is just pushing down...LOL. We haven't had an ultrasound so he could be right... *update* I am having a miscarriage. Worst part is it was twins :( doc said I was picking up placenta on doppler even though it was high. He is giving me till Monday to pass things naturally. If I don't he will do a d&c Monday. Why is this happening? ! I have had 3 healthy pregnancies. Dh and I really wanted twins. We conceive them and then this happens...
