I would keep going through AAR. My almost 5yr old is using AAR right now and she could not rhyme at all when we started. We are almost done with pre1 and her rhyming is getting a lot better. It just takes a while for rhyming to click with some kids.
We school way more than 180 days/yr. We school yr round and just take off a few days here and there. One we finish one book we just move to the next level so my kids are always ahead and if they need more time for something we can slow down and not worry about being behind and sticking to a Aug-May schedule.
I sit right by him for math and handwriting. Phonics, science, history, english and spelling he can do without me right by him but I am still in the room with him.
Nope, that is why I am a little concerned. I have never had BH before 32ish weeks before. I probally over did it a few days ago so I am just trying to sit and relax more. I had to take a long bath yesterday to get them to stop.
How far along are you? 21 weeks 4 days
Do you know what you are having?/Are you going to find out? Boy!
Have you talked names yet? Lucas Blainey (middle name is Dh's grandpas middle name)
Have you done any shopping? (Pics of nurseries would be cute!) Not much, waiting till after the baby shower. Baby will be sleeping in our room so no nursery.
How was your last appointment or when is your first appointment? I had one about a week ago and everything is going good. I started having braxton hicks contractions yesterday so I am a little concerned about that...

Ds taught himself to read at 3. We are doing Horizons phonics because I want to make sure he doesn't miss any phonics he will need to decode higher level words that he runs across.
Ds is 5 and learning cursive right now. He has wonderful manuscript writing and he wanted to learn cursive so I thought why not? We are using Abeka and he loves it!
DS is on a 2nd grade level with everything.
We usually do Horizons math and phonics, R&S spelling and english before lunch. He takes about an hr- 2hr break for lunch and play then does Lifepac Science and history and a cursive worksheet. I plan to switch him to Story of the World soon.
If you are homeschooling I don't see the point of red shirting. Just meet your child where they are and report them (if you have to) the grade they would be in according to state cut off.
