  1. How could I get a copy of this one page? Anyone? Thanks! Brooklyn
  2. After four years of using Singapore Standards w/CWP, I ~think~ I am ready to make the switch to Math Mammoth, which I have been using as a supplement (blue series.) I ordered the light blue series and am almost getting excited about making the decision to switch. I will add in a Kindergartner to with my 2nd and 5th graders and am hoping to really simplify life. I love math and always did well. Thoughts? Inspirations?
  3. :001_smile: Will it be too much??? I want to use both, and don't know what to do without having seen WWS yet. Brooklyn
  4. Math Mammoth. It is great. You should definitely check it out.
  5. I plan on doing Classical House of Learning Literature Grammar Ancients for my second grader. After looking at it closely, I wonder if I can skip Writing With Ease level 2? There are narrations, copy work and dictation. Thoughts?
  6. I was so excited when I finally checked out Nancy Larson's science curriculum. I finally knew I had found my answer to grammar science!!! And THEN.....$$$ I suppose I am looking for a little sympathy. If only.......
  7. I feel for you..... I would go back to Singapore 1B and get the basics down. Mammoth Math is very inexpensive and works really well with Singapore. You could easily do Singapore lessons WITH her, and then let her do Math Mammoth on her own. It will be a challenge at first for her worrying about doing 1st or 2nd grade level work. But it sounds like it is what needs to happen. No need to sugar coat it, JUST DO IT.
  8. In our second year of homeschooling, my first grader wanted to go to PS. I let her. In three months she came to me and asked when she could do homeschool again. So we took her out. It is tough, very tough. It get easier though. The more you prepare, forgive yourself, and pray, it is SOOO worth it!!
  9. My kids are 9, 6, 4, 2. We did SOTW 2 all together this year. They all colored while I read. Next year we will do SOTW 3. It is already so challenging for me doing all the other subjects with each child individually that I NEED history and science done as a family all together to keep my sanity. :tongue_smilie:
  10. Thank you! This is just what I needed to read today!!! I was working with my husband in the yard this weekend when he told me that he was worried because I kept getting distracted and couldn't "focus" to finish a job. He said I kept wondering off....... Well, I really was working, but I guess I was doing exactly that A. A. A. D. thing. I really think it is a stay-at-home/homeschooling mom thing with WAY too many things to ever get done be the end of the day, too many projects, etc. This really gave me a good life. I am going to copy it and send to my husband. He will really enjoy it.
  11. For FLL 2 and WWE 2 we used a compostion notebook for all the WWE narration, copywork, and dictation. In the same notebook we did all the copywork from FLL 2. Yes, we did copywork from both. I hated the huge lines in WWE and the compostion notebook worked really well for us.
  12. I have officially "finished" buying all my curriculum for next year.......but I can't help buy sit back down at the computer to search for more, rethink, read reviews, look for used materials, etc..... Anyone else have this problem????
