  1. Holy moly mouse, between the two of us we could feed a thousand people. Ours keeps growing. My mother found a 28 pound turkey LOL. Main - Turkey, spiral sliced ham Sides: Stuffing - bacon and leek , and some stuffed in the turkey scalloped potatoes fairly plain sweet potatoes homemade buttery sourdough rolls A vegetable gratin a relish tray with deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, olives/pickles Pies: apple cherry pumpkin sernik - a Polish cheese cake made with fresh cheese ETA: OH yeah and something with butternut squash. And I'm very proud that we grew the pumpkins for the pies this year
  2. I make a cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, and get a few kinds of olives and pickles. I really don't know why we do the olives and pickles because no one really eats them much. I don't know that the eggs belong but that's where they are here.
  3. I am a bleach user as well. I just don't trust the environmental products for bathrooms
  4. I would not. I couldn't imagine my kids not here for the holidays. But also I am uncomfortable with them traveling without me anywhere, and with anyone. So there is that.
  5. I let my mother stuff the turkey. I don't think she is doing it right
  6. It's just not T day without stuffing slime :leaving: Kidding. We do it anyways. I always eat a bit, but then we always end up saying it's not as good as the baked stuffing. It's just one of those things we can't get over.
  7. Well in that case I'd just give it a while. If you have been used to crummy shoes you probably compensate somehow by putting more strain on a certain part of your foot. The weird thing I noticed is that when I started running with good shoes that were a more custom fit, is my heels never h urt anymore. And why the hell is this in italics.
  8. I don't like it because I like to make a vat of gravy and have you ever had brined turkey gravy? ACK. Too salty for me. What you need to do is wrap the e ntire thing in bacon.
  9. I would go to a store that specializes in running shoes. Bring your shoes and they will give you a gait analysis. I NEVER realized that I slightly pronate. It is so slight that it was never detected. My newest shoes feel so much better. I used to get sore on the outer part of only my right foot.
  10. I am VERY confused. But then again I cannot even see the threads people are referencing so maybe I'll stay off until I don't keep getting kicked of every other time
  11. Oh bother nevermind. I can't even figure out what I am posting to
  12. My mother always said it gives you fat knuckels. I have no idea where she got this
  13. I haven't been on much since the change but that's mostlly due to the newness and the slow speed for me right now. This is a HUGE resource for me and I don't think we should be unnecessarily ciritical of the admins and IT people/person. John are you alone in this? IT's a lot of work. I'm pretty computer stupid. BTW: Didn't it used to underline words if they were misspelled? I have a problem spelling certain words :p
  14. I think it's just going to take some time to fizzle out what doesn't work, and work out litte bugs that are bound to exist with a huge website change. I did not know of WTM in 08 but I understand that was quite the uproar with that change over. And then everyone got used to that place. So much that we are kicking and screaming to bring that place back. Maybe this will be the same? I have received more good information here than anywhere else I could imagine. It is just too much of a resource to not stick around.
  15. We are OFF! I haven't declared a day off since September. I'm still in my jammies.
  16. In the winter I prefer the rugged wool ones meant for trecking. They are so nice and thick. It takes a while just to pull them off, because they are so hot from wearing so long. By the end of the day you are almost begging for bare feet.
  17. I have no idea what I weigh, I don't weigh myself except once a year or so. Somewhere between 125-130. I am 5'3" and I wear a size 2 , sometimes a bit smaller. I either graze all day or don't eat much and eat 1 or 2 huge meals. I've counted calories before and anywhere from 1500-2500 a day. I do know my typical smoothies are about 500-600 calories each and I always have one of those at least once a day
  18. I have a Bamix. It's the best immersion blender. I also have a Vitamix that I LOVE and could not live without. The Bamix has a mini chopper attachment.
