  1. I've never had my daughter tested, however I can relate to your frustration a bit. I think my daughter was nine when she learned to count through the teens. She is 10 now and is finally finishing R&S grade 2 math. In December she was still barely reading on a first grade level. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Don't give up hope.
  2. On perfect days we kennel our dog before answering the door. We also kennel her when there are kids visiting (running around and being loud). I don't consider her to be an aggressive dog but she has surprised me in the past by nipping a child who was standing still/not in her space. It would only take a few seconds for her teeth to do major damage. I'm not willing to take that chance.
  3. I don't have any experience to share. I hope everything is okay. :grouphug:
  4. Sarah, thank you for letting me join Desmond's Caring Bridge site. It is great to read your updates and see how resilient your little guy is. Still praying here. :grouphug:
  5. This thread came to mind tonight as I was getting ready for bed. Hope all is well.
  6. Matt, one starting point is to look at what his current school is using and decide which of those materials works well for him and which do not.
  7. I'm not a beach person either. Glad you enjoyed it. :)
  8. I had to look up the abbreviations. Wow! Sounds like you have some pretty major struggles with you immune system. :grouphug::grouphug: I hope you can get some definite answers. Not knowing what is going on can be so frustrating.
  9. :grouphug: It sounds like you put a lot into the co-op. I'm sorry it isn't working out for you.
  10. :grouphug: Hopefully someone else will have answers for you.
  11. After nursing four kids they aren't exactly perky anymore. :tongue_smilie: BTW, you all are giving me much needed chuckles this morning.
  12. I have a LARGE bottom and no books. I shop for bras in the girls section because I don't even wear an A. I've always joked that if I moved just half of my bottom to my top I would have severe back problems. Lol! So far my girls are a wee bit better off.
  13. This happened to us too. My poor girl (13/14? at the time) was completely stunned. It was a good thing I was with her. When I was growing up my mom was a nurse for a county health department so I was not surprised and had to step in and make sure the nurse practitioner toned it down a bit. This past fall I had to take in another daughter and she cried when I told her we HAD to go. I opted for a female pediatrician and it was a much better experience. The ped was so gentle with her because she could see how scared dd was.
