  1. Read the book. Attended seminars. Heard DeMille in person. My sister used TJEd in her homeschool. This past year my teens participated in a year long class, Shakespeare Conquest. I still don't get it. Sorry.
  2. I am "Grandma." When we are discussing more than one grandparent we tack on our last names. "Grandma" sounded really weird at first, but I've gotten used to it. :)
  3. :iagree: Weep! How I wish! The price has dropped a bit. $4.21 this morning (Willamette Valley).
  4. Congratulations, Grandma! :) Hope you get to hold and love on her soon.
  5. Co-op was new for us last year. Though my girls (14 and 16) enjoyed the experience none of us want to lose an entire day every week. Most likely we will not continue this year. I will be pushing my 10yo harder. She is a late bloomer who had me fooled. She is capable of so much more than I had imagined. She is busted! :D
  6. $4.31 Memorial Day weekend $4.27 current price It is the straw that is breaking this camel's back. :glare:
  7. :grouphug:Juniper:grouphug: :001_huh: You ARE having a terrible time. You all get well!
  8. In general, my kids didn't choose to read until they were at least ten or older. Artemis Fowl and Diary of a Wimpy Kid were the hooks here. Good luck finding something that she'll want to read.
  9. My 16yo dd's choir is going to Greece next year. How I wish we could afford to send her! 14yo dd started taking gymnastics lessons through the local University last year. She really wants to compete. We can't afford it. Curriculum? Logic of English Memoria Press Curriculum package Lots and lots of Teaching Company videos :thumbup1:
  10. :001_wub: Congratulations on the birth of your sweet little girl. :grouphug: May the Lord give you comfort at this time of change in your life. :grouphug:
  11. For my tattoo loving friends. :) We saw this exhibit last fall. Tattoo: The Art of the Sailor Short video of the exhibit
  12. :grouphug: Thank goodness you knew what to do!
  13. :grouphug: Best of luck to all of you who are becoming afterschoolers!
  14. :iagree: I'm closing in on 50. I've never had beautiful skin and it is quickly going downhill (genetic). As I watch my nieces and nephews acquiring tattoos, I wonder what their tattoos are going to look like when their skin starts to wrinkle and sag. I have a feeling it isn't going to be pretty. :001_huh:
  15. Can you use a pin to put holes in it? You could make the letter of their 1st name in the middle of the eraser. Hope that makes sense. :)
  16. This is what we do along with a chalkboard/whiteboard when needed.
