Back in March, I requested prayers for a job interview (link to that thread) I was notified last night that I begin my full-time position on Monday! I've been at the job part-time since January 2012. It's good to finally get the full-time position. Thank you for all the prayers!

Some of you know the background story on this, but I'll briefly share for those that don't. Dh had a minor stroke a couple of years ago and ended up losing his CDL because of it, which cost him his job as a truck driver. At the age of nearly 60 he had to make a choice to retrain for another profession. He enrolled in a program in pharmacy technology and did an excellent job getting through it. He's now graduating, is licensed and is finally able to apply for jobs in his new field. He's been out of work for over 18 months now and we desperately need the income. This has been a real matter o

I am requesting prayers for a job interview scheduled for tomorrow at 1pm. I am currently working part time and the position is the same job but full time. This is an interview for a job...it's a paying job I can work from home, but I'll equate it to working at Wal Mart full time in how I feei about the job. Please pray that the interview will go well, and that I will at least have the option to take the job! It doesn't have to pay a lot, just enough, IYKWIM. I also have my resume in for an excellent position, but I haven't heard anything on (and honestly, probably won't for at least another week, and then, if I don't hear anything in the next two weeks, won't hear anything until after the New Year). I know I don't post much, but I could use all the good thoughts and prayers people are willing to send. Desmond my 5 year old fell 3 stories face first onto concrete out of Eloise, his 3 year old sister's, bedroom where he and Eloise were playing, this afternoon. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Desmond is doing okay. He is stable. He doesn't appear to have any spinal damage. Right now we are in a waiting game. I'm working w/ some homeschoolers in Bastrop, TX, who have lost everything due to devastating fires in that area over Labor Day weekend. I just got an email from one of the three coordinators on the ground that there is a new, rather large fire that just started near her home. It is a very emotional time down there and the word "fire" can send chills down your spine. She is only a mile outside of the burn zone from the Labor Day weekend fires and was thankfully spared the last time fires swept through the area. She is very worried about this new fire. The family I have been providing respite care to for the last 7 yrs is moving on Sunday, across country. I have been working 10 to 15 hours a day for the last 3 weeks. I am exhausted, but have also been enjoying it. I am basically soaking myself in the 4.5 yr and 18 yr old girls, enjoying every minute of caring for them. But I am ti.erd. One more day, and then I have 9 weeks of summer "vacation" before I start my new nanny gig in late August. I have worked my tushy off watching the kids, cleaning, cooking, etc, and have honestly loved every minute of it. Some of you may remember this post, and this post, about the weird bruising I had in late August. Well, it came back- Thursday night I was hit by this wave of exhaustion, just plum wore out- I crashed hard, but then couldn't sleep all night. While I was up around midnight, I noticed a new bunch of petechiae/purpura on my right arm. First batch had been on left arm. I called to Dr.'s office, they got me in right away (which always freaks me out a bit- no waiting in the outer room, always seems to mean it's serious), and she wants to send me to a hematologist right away. OK, this is going to sound very silly. We've always been dog people. We're on our 2nd full blooded yellow lab...fox red color! Please pray for my dh. He's been having problems for over a week and has been going for various tests. Based on the MRI the GI doctor told him he needs to have his gallbladder removed, but today he also got a call about the MRI from his regular doctor's office. He was told that there's a "small lesion" on his left kidney. He's having a CT scan at 2pm today. Please pray that this is benign. A wonderful lady and friend of our family was in a horrible collision. She was due with twins this week. Both babies are dead and she has a broken pelvis and jaw. I know very few details, but this I do know, your prayers for strength and healing and for her and her family to turn to our Lord and Savior and not away are desperately needed. -
