Thanks for the link to the software site! I found one to download. My dh downloaded it to his computer and it found numerous trojans and viruses. This was a blessing because Computer Geeks wanted to charge over $200 to do the same. I, fortunately, did not have any on my laptop. This is what we used:
Download.com
Thanks so much!
I'm due for an upgrade and currently carry Macfee but wanted to look at others out there as for quality such as effectiveness against virus, trojans and how it may affect the computer programs' running time. I don't want anything that will slow my computer down or affect my programs in any other way. I've looked at download.com for reviews but some of the computer talk confuses me.
I agree with your search criteria. I question if it is very teacher intensive or not, will it meet my dc's learning styles, is it Bible based, is it academically strong, how much tweaking will I have to do, etc.
We order in March-April. I know that most order around tax time and some vendors have special discounts around this time such as free shipping or a certain % off.
Thanks! I wonder if I could use those with my soon to be 4th and 5th graders. I'll check it out. We are using Apologia's Astronomy now and I know that I will more than likely supp. MFW with a different Apologia course later on so they won't end up repeating it. We are using a different history this year but will begin MFW in the new year. I had also considered doing Zoology I for the upcoming year, then follow up with the other Apologia courses. They have really enjoyed Apologia. Still thinking.
We purchased it and are finding it a great asset to our nature studies. I had access to the online book also but it was so frustrating to scroll through the entire thing. I would rather have the book in front of me.
