  1. I love CSI and I'm not embarrassed to admit it. Ha! But I also love I Love Lucy, Everybody Loves Raymond, HGTV, Discovery Channel, Science Channel and King of Queens too. I even watch a few kiddie shows with my lil' peeps. I love Drake and Josh. So embarrassing!
  2. I need to spruce up mine but it keep returning to the same look, a centerpiece of fruit and books everywhere.
  3. Do you need me to come over there, girl? LOL I will gladly help a sista out. I think you should kindly remind her that you allowed her to BORROW those items for a period of time to help their family during a difficult time but your family is in need of those things also. If that doesn't work, go to pastor's wife and allow her to intervene.
  4. I have two babies. A Rottweiller and weagle (half wienny dog and half beagle). Ha! I love my babies but no face licking here. Have you seen that dog germ report on Dr. Know? (Discovery Channel, I believe) He did an excellent lab report study on how dirty a dog's mouth actually was. They carry dozens of bactieria plus disease causing bacteria. It doesn't harm them but it will cause diseases in us, of course. You should have seen the look on one lady's face when they told her the results of her dog's mouth. She had been sharing an ice cream cone in the park with her dog prior.:ack2:
  5. Mine isn't really wordless. We put our mini video book reviews back up. :D
  6. We made chicken fajitas to for our Cinco De Mayo day. Not quite sure about tonight. I have been a little slack on my menus here lately.
  7. We purchased our drum set from a friend in our church. He owns a music store and sells used/new items. I would say check the consignment music stores first. Some may have used sets in there. Get with a clerk and check the choices out. Oh, get some ear plugs too! LOL
  8. Our Schoolroom minus a few recently added shelves and posters.
  9. Well, what the pickle! Thanks, girl! So much for sharing time. Well, never you mind then. LOL!:smilielol5: It's ok if someone has used it. I have met my limit for this month. Ha!
  10. On all orders over $35 at Christian Books.com Just enter promotion code 282035ABWJLX when you begin checkout. This offer expires at 11:59 PM ET on Friday May 16, 2008.:)
  11. Why not try something like 123Teachme? It's free.
  12. I did after-schooling with my oldest while he was in ps from k-6th grade. We took some lessons that he had learned in class and extended them. I basically retaught many subjects since he didn't grasp them entirely in the ps setting anyway. Some lessons were new also. We schooled throughout the summer also.
  13. We use a regular cookie sheet type pizza pan without the holes. We have a rectangle and a round one. I simply lightly flour our pans. I add a small bit of oil to our crust also.
  14. We are a soccer crew. No, we don't play in the rain. The park n' rec office usually sends out emails to families regarding cancellations so we simply check our emails. However, they have played in 40 degree weather before and that's just a bit chilly for me.
  15. My sons have a few from grandma also and I don't care for them. They are "play" wear around here.
  16. My sons loved it! Tell your dd that she did a wonderful job!
  17. Great links! I just found a seed unit study on HS launch today also. Thanks!
  18. If I had to pick between US and World Geography, it would be US. I have thought of geography as a whole so I would teach World Geo. which would include all continents. Maybe you could do both.
  19. My favorite so far, although I have only tried three, has been Rod and Staff. It's mastery, which we love, thorough and inexpensive, which we really love. :D
  20. If you are speaking of this, I believe you need to register then you can access a free trial.
  21. Mine took about a week just recently. I have ordered during a busy season and it took about two weeks.
  22. My days are much nicer when my toddler has her Mommy time right off the bat. We spend a few minutes reading and playing on the floor with her dolls, etc. while her older brothers finish their breakfast. As I teach, I usually turn on her favorite show, Sesame Street. She is going to marry Elmo, BTW. Ha! And she loves Sprouts, the preschool TV network. When my older dc have a break or complete an assignment, they will usually play with her on the floor, read to her, etc. They sort of rotate a little throughout the day if they are able unless she is napping. I can give her an activity and she is really happy. One day, she played in a bowl of water with sponges. She loved it. Another day, I made homemade playdo and she had a ball. And she loves her nesting blocks. She loves to participate in our real a louds and art projects. She really loves listening to classical music too. ToddlerToddler.com has great activities and LetterofTheWeek also. She loves to play Fisher Price games on my laptop also.
