  1. :grouphug: and prayers! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  2. My youngest dd is 8, turning 9 in about 6 wks. We just did a major declutter (as in last 3 weeks) & gave away the kitchen as she either cooks in the kitchen for real or uses the American Girl sized one (from Target or somewhere) for the dolls. Her toy kitchen got a lot of use past the age 2 1/2. My oldest ds played with the kitchen until 5ish. Middle 2 kids played w/ kitchen until 7/6ish. So, all of mine were different but all enjoyed the kitchen past the age of 2.
  3. LOL! I turn 50 in October & I have those glasses in black & hot pink.
  4. Yikes!!! I must admit, I liked CEC when my 3 oldest were younger. We have had a lot of fun at a bunch of them. (now I will go hide ...)
  5. And Happy New Year to you! We too are celebrating the Year of the Horse.
  6. Praying for you and yours. :grouphug:
  7. We have so many needs in our family right now :( I don't want to list all of them on a public board but it is such a tough time. I (entire family) could use any prayers and/or good thoughts. I am feeling so anxious/hopeless right now and am having a difficult time remembering that this time shall pass ... one way or another. Thank you so much!!!
  8. Congratulations!!!! How very exciting for your family! No advice; we have adopted twice internationally, but dd 1 was an infant and dd 2 was a toddler/preschool age.
  9. Yikes, the public school 2012 - 2013 year isn't even over yet here in NY. We didn't even use extra snow days; that is just the normal school year. I do agree it does cost a lot to obtain all of the required supplies & the more time the better. But, I am watching the neighborhood bus stop as I type. Hard to shift to next year's school supplies :(
  10. BA in International Relations, minor in Religious Studies. MBA w/ a focus in accounting & organizational behavior. Also, an MPA.
  11. I watched last night, don't usually follow that show but wanted to see the adoption episode. We also used Children's Hope International (twice) and it did bring back so many wonderful memories.
  12. Isn't this an interesting thread ... interesting to learn of each other's experiences and/or perspectives of greek life at college. Tough week to be DG.
