  1. I use my apron. I had the sticking towel issue, but my apron has never stuck.
  2. Another 12 passenger Chevy Express. I love it. We had a 15 passenger before this and I loved it even better because I could take a row out for fun, but there is plenty of room in the back still.
  3. I was 16 and he was 21. We got married at 18 and 23. First baby at 20 and 24(almost 25). It probably wasn't ideal to my family, but I am so glad things happened the way they did.
  4. Boy or girl, that sounds like a wonderful gift! If someone didn't like it that is their loss.
  5. We are at home schoolers as well. There was a time when we had activities every single day...it wore us all down quickly. I am very relieved and the kids are much happier being scaled back to almost nothing(church and 1 day per week hs group).
  6. I Love my church for so many reasons. We are blessed to have a pastor who is a natural born teacher. He digs deep and teaches expecting that we want the same. Our music pastor keeps things modern and still appeases the older crowd. Families worship together, with a service for children led by the sweetest lady I have ever met. There is always fellowship throughout the week. They accept DH and I despite our appearances and know we are Lovers of Christ. Despite some nastiness everyone is pulling together and trying to salvage a torn relationship. Missions trips, community outreach. It is a church of action and learning. I really could go on and on...they have become my family!
  7. I have a church breakfast to attend in the morning and have decided to make this. Thanks for the inspiration!
  8. Hi there. I have 7 DC. We have always homeschooled, though I don't recall ever making a formal decision to. I do a one room schoolhouse style. We are somewhat new homesteaders(6 years) and have alot of animals to occupy the time we don't really have left over lol. I love reading on this board, though I don't post as often as I would like/should.
  9. I love the name Cedar, and think both Owen and Monroe sound great with it.
  10. I put every two hours, no formula. They would(still do) nurse for 10-20 minutes and be good for 2+. As others have said growth spurts were more frequently.I nurse on demand. I don't have any friends to compare this too...none of them nursed past one month.(One did, but she moved and I don't know her schedule :P ). As a rabbit trail...I hated the nurse in the hospital(first four babies) coming in and asking how long they nursed for and then saying it wasn't long enough. My babies never lost weight after birth, literally gained from day one. They were all fat babies by one month...like quadruple chin fat. Yet the charts said they had to nurse both sides for x amount of time, and even if my way was working they would tell me to do it differently. I don't think breastfeeding is an exact science.
  11. I am married to a body piercer and have had more piercings than I can remember. My ears are currently stretched to 2 gg and all my other piercings are out.I have a full sleeve and 13 other pieces, with more in the works. DH has alot of ink too, and he still has several of his piercings. It is really quite amusing to go places and get the looks from being heavily modified along with the looks for being a large family. Most people are polite about it, the rest...eh, well, I am a duck. :D
  12. DD12 is grooming the horse, DS11 is giving 4-wheeler rides to DS10,DS8, and DS6. DD3 and DD1 are playing dolls.
  13. My sister went through that as well, and said it was easily the worst pain she has ever felt. Her Captain said it was akin to being hit in the back with a sledgehammer. Being tased does seem to have served the purpose that her department is very conservative in using it on others. I'm sorry your husband had to endure it too.
  14. Congrats! Ezekiel, Jude, and Tobias are names I adore(I love all the names you have chosen for your children :) ) Good luck on the name quest.
