  1. I am so glad to be getting some new ideas. My son is 7 and has had the severe excema like you two have described for years. He has just had allergy testing done(after over a year of begging his dr to do it) and has allergies to milk and soy. The skin that looked burned still looks burned, but the bleeding rashes have gone down sooo much. I get emotional just typing it as well. The pain and itching he went through, and the drs who just didn't take the time to help, rather blew us off.I took him to the er one night because he was screaming from the pain. That was the only Dr. who seemed to care and actually tried to help.
  2. He has no problem with it, nor do I mind when he volunteers me for something. We are firm believers in not withoholding good if it is in your power to do it, so why not?

  4. My 3rd child is a redhead and is the spitting image of my grandfather. My first, second, and fourth look like their father, although pretty different from each other(no clone kidlets!).The fifth, sixth, and seventh also look like Brian and I. I have had so many comments about how Gavin is the mailman's, or the milkman's, or my all time most hated comment," He obviously is from a different dad." Said in front of my children, who then wanted to know how I could have a baby with a different man when I am married. I was flabbergasted that they were flat out saying I skipped paternity on my 3rd child, then resumed relations with my husband. When Luke was born in APril the most joyful thing to me was his red hair. I feel vindicated that people can see that Gavin has a sibling who looks like him, that it is truly a cool genetic thing, and that our family has a broad pool. Oldest dd:blonde straight hair, grey/blue eyes, tan oldest ds:Brunette straight hair, grey/blue eyes, fair 2Ds: redhead straight hair, bright blue eyes, fair 3ds: brunette curly hair, brown eyes, tan 4ds: curly brunette, brown eyes, fair 2dd: blonde curly hair, bright blue eyes, fair 3dd: brown curly hair, brown eyes, tan 5ds: red hair(wavy right now, who knows how it will end up), blue eyes, fair
  5. We have two sets of bunks, and one is a triple. I put a fitted sheet, no top sheet. They each have a pillow and a blanket that instead of straightening they fold at the foot of their bed each morning. From 8 on up I expect them to help change the sheets, although I do have to make sure they get the corners down sometimes, but climbing to the top bunks is extremely hard! I sometimes wish we didn't have the bunks but they are tremendous spacesavers.
  6. I don't take feet pics(except to show off my tattoos :tongue_smilie:) , but a lot of my friends do it as a way to show where their feet are taking them at the moment. Most of them also use instagram to make the picture look cool and old and all :D. As for food... I love seeing what people are eating. It inspires me and makes me jealous in a drool worthy way. I admit to taking pictures of food I make on occasion, but since it is all homemade and not perfect it is more of a record of our day kind of thing to share with the far off family.
  7. Hi, I'm Wendy. I am mom to 8 kidlets(listed in my sig). I am a homesteader, so I have a nice low post count! We have numerous animals keeping me busy on top of homeschooling since 2002. I have mostly lurked here for several years now. I have been married to Brian since I was 18, 16 years ago. I am one of those "will not fit in the box no matter how hard you try to get me there" weirdos. Headcovering, skirts only, dreadlocked, politically liberal, religiously conservative, tattooed, pierced, quiet, shy, nature loving, quiverfull minded enviormentalist. :tongue_smilie:
  8. 1) where do you live? Oklahoma 2) what do you pay for a gallon of milk? $4.25 3) how often do you pick it up? Every three weeks 4) how far do you have to drive to get your milk? 45 miles one way
  9. 38 when the baby was born, but we don't know that he is our last.
  10. 14DD is in her own room 13DS, 11DS, 9DS, and 7 DS in a room with triple bunks and a trundle. 5DD and 3DD have a bedroom but sleep in a twin bed in my room baby sleeps with me. The kids love sharing and even though we have an extra room(filled with books and weightlifting gear) they don't want to be split up.
  11. Congrats! Lucian arrived before my midwife, it was so amazing to catch him myself. I hope you have a wonderful babymoon!
  12. I think both are lovely and am glad you found someone to draw something similiar for you. I have a full sleeve and while there are a lot of snobby people who will judge me I do not regret it one bit.
  13. I was 18, dh was 23. We celebrate 16 years in a few weeks.

  15. And another one. That was eerie and now half my kids are afraid.:tongue_smilie:
  16. We are very happy with our Chevy Express 12 passenger. We had a 15 passenger before this and I actually do not think the space was worth the extra gas and hassle .
  17. #1 DH, My mom #2 DH, my mom #3 DH, my mom, friend #4 My mom(Dh stayed in the van with the other three. My mom was in her last months of life and it made sense to have her there) #5 DH #6 Friend(went to fast, DH got home just 2 minutes after she was born) #7 DH and an older woman from church who had been a l&d nurse for 14 years and wanted to see a homebirth. She was blown away and we became good friends. With all the homebirths the kids have been right outside the door and come in within two minutes to see the new babe.
