  1. I just thought about Little Hands. I acutally have in my possesion a copy of that. My church purchased it to use for preschool activities and I used with my DS two years ago. Might just do that!!!
  2. I know, I know they are REALLY young. I don't normally formally teach 2 year olds anything but just let them play along with us. However, I might possibly have the opportunity to keep our neighbor's dd who is almost the same age as my 2 year old. She and her husband were going to put her in a private "school" for babies to school age kids (I think it is just a fancy way of saying daycare nowadays). Anyway, this would be very finacially beneficial for our family and I really do love the little girl. Is there a fun program out there for very little ones that would be easy to implement in an already busy homeschool? Something that she could have things to take home and show her parents??? I'm not much of a planner and I already have LOADS to plan out this year. It would need to be VERY open and go. Just curious. Thanks, Kyle
  3. I don't remember the exact name of the readers, something like Happy Phonics or something like that. Any way, she recommends those readers (the author, Susan's mom). The cool thing is that they are out of print, but you can download them for free now. You would just have to print them out, put them together and let your kiddos color them.
  4. I just realized that I completely read something wrong or misunderstood something. So the question I posted was REALLY stupid. :tongue_smilie:
  5. There is one with a Mask and one with a knight in armour (I assume this one is updated). Which one is better to go along with SOTW Vol. 1 or does it not matter? Thanks, Kyle
  6. Gosh, I'm a little frustrated with RR. I had trouble ordering because their site wouldn't let me order the set. It would kick me back to where I was and nothing would be in my cart. I ended up having to order something small and then include in a note that I wanted the LOE set. Then they sent me a seperate invoice. What I am frustrated with is that I wasn't told that these were on back order, so after waiting two weeks I just emailed them. That is the first time I was informed that the set was on back order. I would have ordered from the company had I known that the items would take this long to get here.
  7. LOL!!! I will! We are on vacation now (with 3 kiddos with strep throat). Hoping that when we get home I'll have a package. Just saw where someone was selling it used on here though. :(
  8. Awesome! So let me just double check. It lines up with the REVISED SOTW??? Thanks just double checking to clarify. :001_smile:
  9. I figured I would buy one this year and the other next year and just sort of build up our "library". So, next question. I'm looking at The Usborne IL Encyclopedia of World History and there seems to be two. I'm assuming one is the updated version. Can you guys tell me which one is the updated version and which one is referenced to in the revised SOTW guide. I would like for my page numbers to match up. :001_smile: (One has a mask on the front and one has a knight)
  10. Well, I did it! I bought the LoE set from Rainbow Resource. I went through a yard and a half of poo to get it, but I got it. Hopefully they will work out the gliches soon. They were really nice about helping me though.
  11. I was just thinking that I might just do that!:001_smile:
  12. I thinking I need something geared more for the youngers. Something that has some cool pics for them to look at while I read or after I read. My oldest is going to be very busy with her own curr. So I need something to keep the younger ones engaged. Sounds like Usborne may be what I need. ~Kyle
  13. YAY!!! Now I will be able to use your super cool lesson plans to the "T"! You won't believe what I did. I'm such a curr. addict. I ended up finding a SWR set on here SUPER cheap! So I ordered it. Then I got all of my expensive cloth diaper stash and sold them all to build up a pp stash. Now I have just enough to get a super cheap stash of cd (since weonly use them at home anyway) AND get the LoE curr. I figured if whichever one I liked better Icould keep and sell the other.....or just keep BOTH and use them together!!! :tongue_smilie:
  14. I actually think I remember reading that now. Well, I guess I have to get both then! LOL! I have kids all over that range!
