  1. Internet for Classrooms has links to free online activities & games for grades PreK-12 for almost every subject. It is the best site I have in my bookmarks because not only do they link you to every site mentioned above, but there are HUNDREDS more (maybe even thousands considering it covers all subjects/grades lol)! They also show which links correlate with state standards, have links for Special Needs students, and there is a free SAT/ACT prep course you can sign up for.
  2. There are some awesome files on the Yahoo Group. Printable info for timeline cards, clip art, book/video suggestions, chapter reviews, schedules for stretching it out or condensing it down, activity sheets; a plethora of goodies! It is free to join and once you are a member, just click the files link on the left side of the page.
  3. We used it. What specifically did you want to know about the program?
  4. These are wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing :001_smile:
  5. You are very welcome! I always forget to share this little tidbit when someone has problems searching but today I remembered! :tongue_smilie:
  6. I rarely ever use the board search function since I discovered google search. When you search here, there is a limit on the aount of hits returned but with google search, it returns everything! Here's what ya do. Go to google.com & copy/paste the entire following link exactly as written (or paste it into the google search function in your browser): site:http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums (note there are no spaces and ignore the fact that the link is click-able since it will take you back to the main page). Then, simply enter your search term at the end. For example, if you are searching for phonics threads: site:http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums phonics If you want to search for several words you can place a + between the words, or put parentheses around the phrase. This works with any forum/site that does not require you to log in to read threads (the member only SL forums will not come up in a search). HTH! Cindy
  7. Are you are looking for the math practice pages? If so, this link will take you to the main math page. Just click the grade you want for the leveled practice. HTH :001_smile: Cindy
  8. I wondered the same thing so I bookmarked a couple threads about it. Here is one Here is another one
  9. Here is a chart that correlates chapters in both SOTW & MOH. If you join the MOH yahoo group, there are dozens of schedules to choose from. Cindy
  10. Definitely unacceptable unless there is a VERY legitimate reason (which is highly unlikely lol). Did you buy from a forum where you can check her profile & see if she has logged in lately? Extremely frustrating when people cannot follow simple guidelines and/or use common sense & decency! :tongue_smilie: Cindy
  11. Hmmmm, well if the seller is not contacting you, I would file a dispute. I am an ebay Powerseller and I cannot imagine any reason (other than major catastrophe such as wreck, tornado, death, etc) for not communicating with my buyers! If she is communicating with you, I would give it a few more days as I have had Media packages take up to 4 weeks coming from a couple states away. Where was the purchase made from? Hope you get your items OR your money back soon! Cindy
  12. HOD & MFW would definitely fit the bill! Carrie (HOD) is very selective about the book choices and MFW guide warns you if there are possible problems with a book (which you can leave out if you prefer).
  13. This may sound stupid but what site are you talking about?
  14. There are some great free printables & ideas here This link has a free schedule for about K-1 Geography book lists from a mama here on WTM Oops gotta run be back in a bit with more links
  15. Absolutely! I wish I would have saved some of the items I used with my ds for my dd (they are 8 years apart) so that I would have curriculum for her now lol!
  16. We have used everything from the 1993 to the 2003 editions & the differences are very minor. I personally prefer the older b&w editions.
  17. If you prefer black & white, get the 1998 edition of PP. You can view all the levels here but I found my copy on Paperback Swap! If you click the grade level you want then Phonics Student Edition, you can see the ISBN for either color or b&w. Cindy
  18. We are currently homeschooling with zero $$ in our budget since my dh lost his job 2 years ago & his health rapidly deteriorated. I have a couple suggestions: Paperback Swap has been my lifesaver. I have obtained many items that I could never afford for homeschooling (and some personal books that have been in my Amazon wish list for years lol). Even if you do not want to post books, you can buy "credits" from other members for $2-$2.50 each. I can't think of any other site where you can get a current brand new BJU teacher's manual for $2 (and that is just one example)! Head of the Class is a fairly new site that provides free online curriculum for PreK-5. The best feature is that you can customize the curriculum to fit each child's specific needs (for instance if your child can read 3rd grade level but is doing 1st grade math). My dd is really enjoying the lessons and being a highly visual learner, she is actually learning something! Another option: The Book Samaritan They will send you curriculum for whatever grades & subjects you request. They do not always have everything you "want" but they try their best to provide what you need. Lots of hugs to all those struggling to homeschool in the midst of difficulties :grouphug: Cindy
  19. All I'm gonna say is...... :001_unsure: :tongue_smilie: :banghead:  :ack2: :leaving:
  20. The book on Amazon is the same as the one on the MOH website. The CD is unnecessary if you have a copier.
  21. My dd is a bird lover & I know she is going to enjoy this. Thanks for posting the link!
  22. When I have had a spam PM, I just clicked the report private message link (red triangle) in the upper right corner of the message.
  23. Perissos Academy Perissos is from Strong's 4053 meaning abundant.
  24. Yes, the teacher's guide's are required for this level as all the instructions are in them. The flashcards are also very helpful because they have them labeled according to lightunit & lesson # but you could make your own to save $$. Cindy
