  1. Ds will be 18 in November and dd just turned 9. I have been homeschooling since we pulled ds from PS in 4th grade. :tongue_smilie: I still can't believe my baby will be a legal adult soon :(
  2. There is a decent one on but Rockbots is definitely a fun one! By the way, they have some free stuff on their site like videos, games, & worksheets.
  3. They posted this on the FB page a few hours ago:
  4. Whew! I was hoping it would work! Sometimes the archived links go haywire when I post them. Wonder why they took it down?
  5. They must have taken it down. :glare: You can still see it by pasting the link on the Wayback Machine It may take a minute to load so don't panic if a strange page pops up that says Welcome to Wayback loading, or something like that!
  6. I was blessed by Dolores with a copy of the 10th edition Phonics Pathways & the new Boosters to review. I have not started it with dd yet but I would be happy to scan & email a few pages to you. I had asked her about the differences several months ago because we had a 9th edition at the time & this was her reply: Cindy
  7. :iagree: Winter Promise has a similar policy with their instructor guides. I understand why they have the policy, but I won't buy curriculum that I could not even legally GIVE away! :glare:
  8. I purchased Standards from CBD a couple years ago so it has been available on their site for at least that long (wonder why you could not see it until now ). They have free shipping on all orders over $35 right now, if you have a catalog with a code (I could give you my last code, just PM me if you need it). How to find it: Main Page--Homeschool--Singapore Math (7th place below the Curriculum header in the left column). Here is a direct link to all things Singapore on CBD.
  9. YAY! I could not find it yesterday so thank you for posting the link (TFB search is always so wonky :tongue_smilie:)
  10. I have not been able to search by book number on TFB for awhile. I can search TFB using the TOC from Evan Moor and I can easily search for books on EM site but not on TFB using the EMC# (which is very annoying) :tongue_smilie: I just sat with my catalog & searched on TFB for several numbers in multiple variations from every page and nothing came up. However, when I searched just the book numbers on EM, every book I searched came up. I did not have to input the "EMC" either. So for Everyday Literacy grade 1 teacher edition, I entered 2419 and the book popped up. Not sure why they would say you have to enter "Emc:" in the search box because the number by itself worked fine for me. The best way I have discovered to search for a specific title is to log into TFB first then go to Evan Moor on an alternate tab. Search for the book you are interested in & then check if there are any e-pages for it. If E-pages are available for the book on EM then you can print them from either site (if you are a member of TFB). Another thing I noticed is that even if a book has e-pages, it may not be ALL the pages in that book. For example, I was interested in some of the History Pockets but they only provide e-pages to part of the books (Ancient Civilizations is not available at all :(). Now, there are several reasons I like my TFB membership: The Giant Science Resource book is available along with: Basic Phonics Skills (they are $30 EACH), Beginning Geography, all the "Daily" books, Skill Sharpeners, Science Works & the Never Bored books to name a few. Of course, what I REALLY wanted was some of the art books, but they are not available as e-pages :glare:
  11. I've been a member since they first started the site. You used to be able to search by book number, but for some reason, that feature no longer works (well for me at least lol). A cool new feature I recently discovered is that you can print pages directly from Evan Moor's site! Log into your TFB account & on a separate tab, open Evan Moor. Then, find a book you are interested in and select the grade and/or format (any one will work). At the bottom, you will see a blue tab that says E-Pages. Under that will be a thumbnail list of all the pages in the book, sorted into groups by chapter or topic. Beneath each thumbnail is a VIEW link & when you click it, you can see & print the pages, just like TFB! LOVE that feature!! :D Edited to add: I forgot to mention that not ALL the books can be printed on TFB (or via Evan-Moor). So far, I have come across about 15-20 that you would still have to purchase if you wanted the book.
  12. I am using the pages from this site that I printed & laminated several months ago. I like how they teach each letter incrementally. You could view the pages online & use a whiteboard instead. This blog has links to several free handwriting worksheet generators plus HUNDREDS of links to other free sites for every subject/theme you could think of! Edited to say the links to the other subjects are about 2/3 the way down the page on the right (sorry about that). Cindy
  13. You are a sweet sister in Christ & I pray for you to be blessed! :001_smile:

  14. Horizons Penmanship does. They start with cursive about halfway through the second grade book.
  15. Head of the Class has a complete free curriculum for grades Prek-5th (more to come). I am using it with my dd & she LOVES the characters that do the teaching (Happy & Max). You can customize it for your children's specific needs too. For example: a 2nd grader reads at a 1st grade level but can do 4th grade math. So you would create a curriculum with 2nd grade science/history/art/music/geography/language that has 4th grade math & 1st grade reading. You can print worksheets, do science experiments, schedule more of one subject than another. It is an AWESOME curriculum if one does not mind online lessons! Another website that we use is Internet 4 Classrooms. They provide links to hundreds of educational sites for Prek-12 (sorted by grade & subject) plus the offer free SAT/ACT prep.
  16. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here is a link to a pdf lesson plan using PBS that has student in groups writing notebook entries, etc. There are few links in the document for more info. This site has links to lesson plans you may find useful.
  17. Bible & Rhyme from Hubbard's Cupboard does a letter of the week curriculum that incorporates bible lessons, crafts, etc. My dd loved this when she was 4-5. Except for printing, it is totally free!
  18. Internet 4 Classrooms has hundreds of links to not only math games, but also for every other subject for grades PreK-12. My dd spends a lot of time perusing the site. By the way, I don't know if you have heard of Funnix, but they will be giving away their math program (free 100 lesson download) starting June 1st.
  19. I am stretching out AW over 2+ years. I don't have my guide handy, but here is a quick list of about half the books we will be reading (includes ones scheduled in the guide). They are not in any particular order, but I will list the author in case you want to check them out (any books in a series will be in the correct order). The Animal Ark Treasury-Baglio The Poppy Series (in order): Ragweed; Poppy; Poppy & Rye; Ereth's Birthday; Poppy's Return Gooseberry Park-Rylant Chomps, Flea, and Gray Cat (That's Me!)-Wallace The Flying Flea, Callie, and Me That Furball Puppy and Me Coyote Autumn Five True Horse Stories-Davidson Five True Dog Stories Nine True Dolphin Stories Dolphin Adventure & Treasure-Grover One Day in the Woods-Jean Craighead George One Day in the Prairie One Day in the Tropical Rain Forest One Day in the Alpine Tundra One Day in the Desert The Cats of Roxville Station Tarantula in My Purse Socks & Henry Huggins-Cleary Christopher Mouse-Wise Tornado-Byars Velveteen Rabbit-Williams Absolutely Lucy-Cooper The Adventures of Happy Jack (among others by Burgess) Capyboppy-Peet Animal Rescue Club-Himmelman Flute's Journey-Cherry Trumpet of the Swan-White Charlotte's Web-Williams Cricket in Times Square-Selden Rabbit Hill-Lawson Black Beauty-Sewell Stuart Little-White Mouse & The Motorcycle-Darling Rikki-Tikki-Tavi The Ant & The Elephant-Peet Crinkleroot books (several by Jim Arnosky) Bartelby of the Mighty Mississippi-Shalant Marvels of Creation: Breathtaking Birds-Buddy Davis Marvels of Creation: Sensational Sea Creatures Marvels of Creation: Magnificent Mammals We will also watch any DK or Magic School Bus animal videos I can get from the library and the "Be The Creature" show by the Kratt brothers. I have over a hundred links saved. If you are interested, PM me with your email address & I will send them to you.
  20. I have a complete set and there are no uppercase flashcards. There are 3 number cards, 26 lowercase cards, 2 clock face cards, and 1 house card. Uppercase is taught later using pages 39B-45B, after the student has been taught all the lowercase letters (with the exception of the uppercase letter that starts his/her name). I found some free cursive flashcards by searching google (I searched "free cursive flashcards"). I can't remember where I got them or I would post the link :tongue_smilie:.
  21. We use Spelling City. There are lists and much much more. You have to register, but it is free. Cindy
  22. Internet for Classrooms has hundreds of links for LA (and for every other subject too). You can click the grade level help or links for K-12 on the left side of the page.
  23. Annenberg Learner Links to Jr/Sr Hi courses Select the subject & state (GA seems to have the most books) I will post more after everyone is in bed ;)
