  1. Where and when did you go? We went yesterday- The Pacific Science Center in Seattle...a few hours before Jean! What was the highlight of the trip? I was in awe of the giant statue of Tut, but I was really impressed by the craftsmanship and the detail to the various pieces. What was the lowpoint of the trip? There was no real low point. My children were distracted because we were told not to take pictures, but a lot of people ignored the rule. My 13yo wanted to approach people and let them know they were not supposed to take pictures:tongue_smilie:. That part got annoying, but I enjoyed the entire exhibit. Did you get any souvenirs? We did not get any souveniers. The things we wanted were too much $$. How did you prepare for the trip? We have studied Ancient Egypt before, and we reviewed by checking out the online study guide, and looking doing a little research ourselves.
  2. Poor Daisy! My parents have a standard poodle- we love her so much! I hope that Daisy has a successful surgery and comes back stronger than ever. :grouphug::grouphug:
  3. That would be so cool! Our time is 1130… hope to see you. Look for a very tall women with the boys and a girl dressed in pink!
  4. We are going tomorrow too! We are going with CVA- and we were told to be there at least 15 minutes earlier than our assigned time. We have a 3 hour drive ahead of us with an early wake up! I am so excited :-)!
  5. We had a cocker spaniel named Brinkley. It fit him perfectly :) Your pup is adorable!
  6. Are there any red streaks around it? My dh got a minor scrape at a bouncy house, and it turned into a pretty serious staph infection requiring antibiotics. I probably would go to urgent care...
  7. I'm typing this on my phone so I will be brief. We adopted our youngest through foster care. We had an amazing experience-we were hoping for a dd 3 or younger. On the day our license came through I got THE call. I picked up my 1 day old dd from the hospital. Parental rights were terminated at @ 4 months and adoption was finalized at 8 months (results not typical!). You can pm me if you have more questions:-).
  8. Congratulations! You have worked so hard for so long...you are an inspiration and you deserve this! I hope you are doing something fun to celebrate this occasion!:party::hurray::hurray:
  9. You do need to go back and ask them to use a toner to soften the hightlights. :grouphug:
  10. :iagree: I just realized that it starts young. My 4yo dd just had an encounter with a trio of girls who were very nasty to her. They were excluding her and sing-songy letting her know they were BFFs. Since she has no idea what a BFF is- I was more bothered than her. It does need to stop!:glare:
  11. Thank you! I will have to check them out...and I'm pretty sure that the Buckle has talls :-)!
  12. Ok- now I have to know what brand of jeans you are talking about:tongue_smilie:...I buy saggy poopy pants jeans! Help:lol:!
  13. :grouphug: You and your family are in my prayers.
  14. We started with 2 bottle babies (a cross between pygora/fainting goats)- they are so sweet, and are great pets. We have the sweetest Nigerian dwarf wether. He was not a bottle baby, but had a lot of contact with people. I thought Boer goats were meat goats? If you want to milk them, then I think Nubian would be a good choice. We love our goats, and they have taken care of our brush issues. A great site for info is http://www.backyardherds.com.
  15. :iagree: My dh and I were cracking up watching this interview! He didn't pull any punches:tongue_smilie:...we love his books here. Very sad to hear of his passing.
  16. My 13yo ds has been having knee pain on and off for about 2 years. We went to an Ortho- but it was inconclusive. Now I wonder if he has O.S. I would really appreciate it if you could describe how it looks in your children. My son can be playing a game (like rugby or football) with no apparent issues, then he starts limping. He has developed a funny running form, I think from overcompensating for the discomfort. Is there any visible physical signs of O.S? Thank you!
  17. I have a friend who named her ds Korrigan (I love that name) and I am a fan of Keegan...
