National Latin Exam Results Thread

Gold medal on Latin Prose here! This is her last year of Latin, so we are thrilled.

Dd took the intro exam this year. She got an "outstanding achievement" award and a purple ribbon. A good start! :)

Two gold on Latin Prose and one gold on Level 2! My children are happy!

This year was our first year trying the exam.

 

DD1 got a gold medal / perfect paper in Latin 1.

 

DD2 got the second level certificate in Intro to Latin.

 

Both scored higher than the national average for their test.

 

Very proud of both of them!

I've been walking on air all day. DD13 got a perfect paper/gold medal summa cum laude on Latin I. 

 

All of my co-op kids that took it with us did well!  I am so proud of all of them.

DS wrote the Level 2 exam and got a perfect paper. He's determined to do five years of Latin (he started in 8th), so it's nice to see the results of all his hard work.

Finally got results today (overseas mail issues).

Gold in Latin 2 and apparently it was much easier than Mrs. Barr's quizzes.

Where are the Lukeion people getting their results for the NLE?  Mine took the NLE through Lukeion but as far as I know we haven't heard anything about their results yet...  Did I miss something?

It was announced during class. Could you look at the recording, think it was 2nd week of April. We haven't received anything in the mail.

Oh, that explains it.  Thanks!  I think last year she sent out emails or such, so I was expecting that.

Everything went wrong while dd was taking the Latin 2 NLE this year. We were on vacation in Mexico (why oh why does the NLE have to coincide with our college students' spring break?!?) Dd had done a face plant on ocean floor the day before and had sand burn on her face and a black eye swollen almost shut. We were stuck at the kitchen table in the middle of the rental house because it was the only place in the house that had internet. Even there, we were bumped off the NLE website three times. There was a loquacious parrot in the kitchen that wouldn't shut up. The owner of the house decided to stop by and chat (I think she missed her parrot) and everyone else in the family kept coming in asking if dd was finished so we could go play. We were expecting nothing at all. Dd was a little bit sad because her older siblings medaled when they took it. As Mrs. Barr began handing out medals, I reminded her that the situation had been ridiculous - I didn't have my hopes up, and she shouldn't have hers up. Then she interrupted this speech of mine to let me know Mrs. Barr had just announced she had a gold. :tongue_smilie: â€‹
