J-rap
Do you think it's okay to use? It will be used for a recipe that will be cooked. It's a small container (1 cup) of heavy cream.
katilac
If it smelled okay, I would use it.
theelfqueen
I probably wouldn't for cream... Last night I managed to take an entire rack of already cooked ribs out of the fridge (to get to something behind them) and leave them on the counter overnight. Hurt my heart to pitch them! So I feel you.
Spryte
I wouldn't. But I've had enough food poisoning that I'm cautious. Ymmv.
EmilyGF
Smell it. If it smells OK, use it today.
snickerplum
I was taught that perishable food left in the danger zone (between 40 and 140 degrees) for longer than 2 hours should not be consumed. I hold to that.
Laura Corin
Taste it: when cream goes off it has a weird metallic taste.
EmseB
It will probably sour faster than it would otherwise, but I don't think leaving it at room temp one time makes it sour. For milk/cream I'm in the smell test camp.
regentrude
taste it. You'll taste or smell if it has gone bad.
Excelsior! Academy
I *might*. Though you don't want to take my word for it, we've been known to eat pizza left out (covered) overnight.
rebbyribs
If the container was sealed and it's ultra-pasteurized (UHT), it's absolutely safe to use.

The fridge it for looks, and because we don't use enough of the planet's resources.
JudoMom
I'd use it as long as it didn't smell off.
Melissa in Australia
it will now be perfect to beat it until it turns into butter. Cream turns into butter faster if it has been aged at room temperature for a few hours.
