klmama
I have two weeks before I see my extended family again. I need to lose two pounds to make my most recently purchased jeans fit better. (Never mind the 25 I'd like to lose; for now, I just want to fit into the clothes I have.) I can probably lose two pounds in two weeks, right? No sugar, no snacks, no seconds. Exercise. Sit less, stand more. Anyone want to join me for a little mutual encouragement?

UmMusa
You can do it!!! Less calories. More veggies, etc...
Garga
You can do it! For me, if I cut out sugar and carbs, I tend to lose a few pounds relatively easily. But that's not true for everyone, so ymmv. Fill up on lots of veggies. That is probably safe to do as long as you don't put lots of butter and salt on them. Slache
Get some psyllium husk. It's not a diet based colon cleanse, it will just make your intestines happy which will lower bloating and gas. Enjoy your healthy two weeks!
KathyBC
Cut sugar from your drinks and get your heart rate up for 20 minutes a day? Go for it!
dancingmama
And drink lots of water. Drink water first thing, water before every meal, everytime you go to put something in your mouth, drink first.

El...
You can definitely do that! Make sure you get enough rest, get some walks, but eat right! Don't drink anything with sugar in it (not even the fake sugars). Eat meat, eggs, fish and veggies; avoid carby anything. You'll look great! I really should join you. klmama
Okay, it's a week later. I've already lost two pounds without much effort, and I can tell in how the jeans fit. :001_smile: I keep baby carrots out to snack on when I get hungry. I haven't exercised much, but I've been so busy with holiday prep I haven't been eating as much, either. I've also been sleeping a little more, which helps me not feel as hungry when I wake up in the morning. A small breakfast of an egg, some carrots, and a banana has been enough. This week I'm going to add in exercising every day. If the weather is bad, I'll go to the community center to use a treadmill or to walk the indoor track. I may need to take in more calories then, but I'm going to pick up some other fresh veggies to expand my options.
