Your library is open on Sunday??

Yep!  I think it's open 12-5.  I need to get my account settled on the book we lost so I can start reserving and renewing things online again.  If you owe them more than $3 you get put on restricted use.  I am in the literary dog house.

Ours is $10. If you owe more than that you can’t check any books out.

Good Morning  Today is what we call “grubby Sunday “ at church  We all stick around afterwards and do some fall cleaning  I can’t stay too long though because I have to pick up bunnies from convalescent care.  Both bunnies went so that they would stay bonded,  I have been so worried about Cinnamon since I heard her crying in the background when I was talking to the rabbit rescue lady.

Movepo:

Yesterday I reorganized the kids room so all of their things are in larger containers and full so it's easier to move and we can just use their bins as boxes. I have six small empty bins for goodwill.

Yesterday I boxed up the trains and today I'm hoping to box up all photo frames and knick knacks using baby blankets and ill-fitted clothing.

It's getting real, y'all!

I get to say y'all for realzies now because we're moving to Texas.

I just posted this to Facebook and apparently Facebook do not yet know that we were moving to Texas instead of... any of the other places Matt had wanted to move to Prior. Cat out of bag.

I made it to the library and paid $13 for an $8 book plus processing fee, for which ds13 will be paying me back.  Now I can reserve all our history and literature books for the next "unit"!  Then I taught the kids to make Scandinavian/Froebel stars.  When everyone was at church I practiced making a Christmas Tomte (gnome) out of a baby sock.  The second attempt was much more successful than the first. I told everyone to be back by 4:00 so I can make them play through the Ten Thousand Miles arrangement I made.  Such torture.

I'm home from dropping off dgc, and I did stop by aldi and HEB.  I just had a little lunch and now I think I will go to the bedroom, turn on a Christmas movie, and maybe take a nap.

Where do you find your Christmas movies. I love Christmas movies.

Hi.

Good sermon. I got a picture of him up there because he might not be preaching for a while.

That woman was ranting and raving all morning because we told everyone except her that we were moving away. We told her, she's just better at talking than she is at listening. Her husband knew. Everyone knew. She's just a poopyhead.

Except Facebook. Facebook didn't know. Facebook knows now. So there's that.

I'm hungry.

I do not believe I have ever actually watched a football game. My husband took me to a baseball game and I went to a baseball game with my daycare. I don't like sports.

At dinner I watched Alex put an entire fish fillet in his mouth and panic, not because he couldn't breathe, but because he didn't like the taste.

I'm watching a football game.  It's the third one today.  I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

My body is very achy today.  I think it's the weather.

There will be no walking of miles tonight.  ?

It’s very good. I would watch three if I could. I love football.

I’m not feeling too well, myself. Hence the nap. I never nap. Actually, I took the perfect nap this afternoon. I didn’t just conk out like I do sometimes. I slept very lightly, I could still hear the game on the tv and the kids chattering, but I was asleep.

I am taking a week off from school. Who cares if Thanksgiving is coming up? I want it now!

I walked miles and miles in the woods yesterday. I concluded that in my own way, I am as much a nature-study CM as a classical teacher, with a strong dash of let's chuck everything but math and Latin, and live off the land and the library card. But then I'm sore the next day...?

Cleared 10K for NaNo yesterday.

The one day DD has ever forgotten something for school it had to be pouring rain! But my faith in humanity has been boosted because a kind stranger saw me walking into the school with Baby and escorted us in and out with her umbrella.  Even with the umbrella we were so soaked that we had to change clothes when we got back home, but it was very nice of her. Like a chump, I had parked in an actual parking spot instead of right in front of the doors so she had to walk quite a bit with us and she even stopped what she was doing to take us back to the car when she wouldn't otherwise have been going back to the parking lot.

Good Morning!!!!

COFFEE!!!!!~D

Monday!!????

Today is my typical Monday. MIL is coming this morning, we have school, which I am completely unprepared for. I was so tired last night I got nothing done. Baby has piano lessons this afternoon and the older kids hang out at the Student Center at church and I have Bell Choir this evening.  I think I will make Dutch Oven Chicken for dinner with mashed potatoes and carrots.

I would have parked in an actual parking spot, too.

Also, I have not used an umbrella in 18 years.

And it was raining so hard this morning!!

I'm glad that someone made the extra effort to help keep you and Baby dry!

Dinner at Krissi's tonight!

I have had second sleep.  With this particular cough, I find that the coughing subsides when I lay down and starts back when I am upright - the opposite of what usually happens.  Other than a having a sore throat and sounding like I am coughing up a lung, I don't feel too bad.

I have gotten two more playing jobs over the next couple months, so that is nice.  My quartet friend is apparently happy with my playing and has been asking me first if I'm available.  As long as my hands, arms, neck, spine, and brain behave themselves, this kind of free-lance playing can be a good retirement gig.

I just noticed that one of the kids (probably dd12) set a Christmas themed word find and pencil on my nightstand.

Good morning! Lots to do today. I am hoping to do a few extra things today since I'm so efficient on Mondays. I think one of the reasons Mondays are so good for me is that the kids are worn out from the weekend so they're not harassing me about stuff all day.

Anyway. I overslept by an hour and have to get my workout in later and I'm ready to Bible.

I am toying with a new schedule.
3 weeks training, regular school.
1 week serious housework, school projects.
3 weeks training, regular school.
1 week rest, no school.
Rinse and repeat. I could take that as a general outline and sort of smoosh it into our life.

Most of this morning is supposed to be only cloudy for you.  Get out there!  And get a rain jacket with a hood!

According to my app it's supposed to rain all day and according to my window it's raining right now. I'll keep an eye out.

And the office didn't give DD her stuff. ☹️ She goes to a different school mid-day so it was too late. I called after she called me and they said, oh we sent it and someone sent it back. That must be because they didn't send it for hours! Then when I got there to pick it up, the office said, "oh we were just going to take that." BS.

They have a policy of no texting in schools but when you take things, they say, "Can you just text them to come get it?" No. Because my kids are conscientious and turn their phones off per your rules.

So I took it to her other school. Let's hope they get it to her. I spoke with the office there and she seemed like she may possibly care. It's not really great for an anxious kid.

I had a schedule like that when my kids were young.  It worked well.

I will not be getting my steps in today.

They are warning us of bad storms tonight - high winds and tornados.  Dd20 said they had a tornado warning last week when she was at work in the library.  They had to run through the floors and herd everyone into the bathrooms.  The place is like a tornado magnet.  The university was walloped by an F4 10 years ago and they have not forgotten.  When they rebuilt the dorms, they made one bathroom in every dorm room a certified tornado shelter.  I miss dd20.

I'm going to have dd15 read storytime.  They can sing something on their own.  All I have to do is drive them to and from music lessons and children's choir (they both happen at the same place).  I will need to Pantz at some point.

Next time you'll know to have them page her to come to the office while you're still there.  I hate freakin' schools.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Instead of saying I need to give any of them something, I'll say I need to speak with them in person.
